Are you thinking that as much as we want to look for logical frameworks for intelligence, there is no certainty or scientific proof that intelligence is as structured as we believe it to be? As in the evolutionary process, where chaos and order wisely coexist, I see a research gap related to our brain and mind typically related to focusing on models based solely on order. But if we are researching artificial intelligence, why are we so attached to the order and models that are supposed to be those of our brain?

Everyone has heard of DNA. But by itself, DNA is just an inert blueprint for life. It is the ribosome - an enormous molecular machine made up of a million atoms - that makes DNA come to life, turning our genetic code into proteins and therefore into us. Gene Machine is an insider account of the race for the structure of the ribosome, a fundamental discovery that both advances our knowledge of all life and could lead to the development of better antibiotics against life-threatening diseases.

This book’s title is incorrect
The first half of the book is on Anatomy and Physiology, not biochem. The second part is OChem like the title says. Other than that, I haven’t finished it yet but seems pretty standard stuff so far.

Good Information, A Bit Outdated
There is some good information in this book. Actually, much of the material is quite progressive for the time it was written. I will however say this. If you want to read this book, understand that it was written decades ago. As with many of these kinds of books from this particular time period, there are a lot of repetitive and drawn out examples that can get tiresome. At the time, these examples were being offered as proof that the claims that were being made were accurate.
