This story will capture your heart!

In this western historical, gutsy, city-bred Laura Cheney is left alone and penniless to give birth and fend off all kinds of danger by her no-good husband in the wilds of Colorado. He is killed by a band of comancheros who come looking for Laura and end up stealing her baby instead. Determined to find her baby, she hires Deke Sheridan, a tracker who was raised by Cheyenne Indians and is known for his gunning and tracking skills. Cheyenne Amber is the tail of their quest to find her baby and how they fall in love along the way. Catherine Anderson does know how to keep the reader engaged and captivated for the entire story and the narrator did an excellent job. I had to forcibly stop myself listening to this book at night so I could get some sleep. This is definitely worth a credit!

Exhausting Heroine

I typically enjoy Catherine Anderson’s books, but Laura’s responses and reactions don’t seem remotely realistic given her established history. The character’s lacking a practical sense of self-preservation was incredibly annoying.

Held my interest throughout. Nicole Poole gives life with her narration to this really good 👍 story.

Cheyenne Amber

What did you love best about Cheyenne Amber?

I loved the entire book. I hated when it ended. Excitement from the beginning

Who was your favorite character and why?

Laura and Deke were such a sweet couple. He rough and tough and she so Boston. But in the end she learned to love his life and his ways. Knowing that he loved her Son as his own and would die for them both made my heart warm Would love to hear a sequel to this book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed and I cried

OK but slow.

Would you recommend Cheyenne Amber to your friends? Why or why not?

This book is slow and the antagonism went on too long. Other books by this author were much better.

Any additional comments?

I like westerns and found this book a little tedious for that genre.

THIS STORY CAPTURED MY HEART!

This is a wonderful story. I loved getting to know the main characters and enjoyed Nicole Poole narration to the fullest! This is so different but yet it's a beautiful story. I found that I had such a hard time turning it off at night.

not her best work

I love most of Catherine's writing, but this book was annoying and the male voice narration was horrible. painful to listen to. I seriously considered not finishing the book.

Kind of iffy about the heroine

Liked the narration with the exception of the heroine. Whitney, but that is her character so I guess it worked. Made me want to “just shake her”. Story was entertaining and educational.
