Story
Madeline knows firsthand that life rarely goes according to plan. If it did, her husband would still be alive, Scotland wouldn’t be her home, and she wouldn’t be living in the 17th century. Hardened by grief and broken dreams, Madeline hopes that a new life for her and her daughter might be enough to pull her from her years’ long rut. Despite her best efforts in a new century, little changes. As the months pass, her wish for a happier tomorrow seems unlikely to come true. But when a newcomer with ties to the castle arrives in the village, Madeline’s interest is piqued.

Publisher's Summary
A kiss can make everything better. Sometimes, it can make it worse.
Heathcliff McKinnon, a nineteenth century Scottish laird, is desperate to communicate with his new voiceless daughter-so desperate, he'll accept help from any quarter, or so he thinks. But when aid arrives in the person of a lovely-though odd-American woman, he realizes something sinister is afoot and he cannot trust her. He will not risk the safety of his precious child no matter what his lonely heart tries to tell him.
Contemporary Brianna Colby thinks she'll be happier if she can take complete control of her life. But her plans get turned upside down, literally, once she lands in Scotland for a holiday vacation and finds the tour she booked was only a scam. And thanks to a delusional Highlander who believes he's from 1806, she's no longer fighting for control of her life, but control of her mind...and her heart.
The wicked weather isolates the pair, and the child, within the frozen walls of Heathcliff's castle. When it appears the source of the mystery might lie with one of them, they'll struggle to find trust before it's too late-before the promised return of the coachman on New Year's Eve.

Sweet Little Love Story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It is a nice story with romance. It is a story that can be listened to with the family around.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Christmas Kiss?
Of course, the first kiss is always memorable. However,Christmas morning was the most memorable moment in the story. The laird does his best to delight the child and the woman who have come to live in his home.
What three words best describe R. M. Bennett and C. P. Smith ’s voice?
R.M. Bennett: Upbeat, Clear, C.P. Smith: Ordinary (Thankfully, it was a minor part in the book. It would have been better if R.M. Bennett read the entire book).
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This is a sweet time travel romance. Makes you wish you had a man as sweet as the manly laird in this story. Very sweet story.
Any additional comments?
The story is similar to a modern fairy tale. A modern girl is transported back in time to an ancient castle with a very handsome and sweet laird. The girl has difficulty convincing the laird the she is really from the future. However, they fall in love with each other even though neither believes in time travel.

Excellent Holiday Entertainment!
The tone of the dialogue was most enjoyable. Having two narrators greatly added to the presentation of the story, and was terrific! It leaves you with the feeling that you want to message the author to ask if there is a follow up to the story...what happened next??? Enjoyed it very much.
