Publisher's Summary

Alice

My name is Alice, and I live in the Bugpocalypse.

I survived my first post-apocalyptic winter, and spring is here. That’s bad news! With warm weather comes the endless swarms of deadly bugs.

I need to forage for food, but there’s just one little problem. Okay, so “little” isn’t the best word to describe the fierce Xarc’n warrior who is obsessed with me. Kaj’k is freakin’ huge! And his sharp claws, pointy fangs, and massive horns are scary AF.

I reject his gift of food and flowers, but my massively muscled alien hunter doesn’t get the hint. He tosses me over his shoulders and carries me to his shuttle. I expect the worst, but all he does is purr at me.

Kaj’k

I’ve spent my entire life fighting the swarm. Genetically engineered to hunt the scourge across the galaxy, Xarc’n hunters are the ultimate predators. It takes a lot to take one of us down. Then I meet the little human female who brings me to my knees.

My Alice is full of fire, and I have no doubt she can survive on her own. But she’s my mate, and she’s mine to protect. When cannibals and scourge threaten my female, I toss her over my shoulder and carry her to my ship.

Now that I have my mate in my arms, I’m never letting her go!

If you’re missing IPB

If you’re missing Ice Planet Barbarians I HIGHLY recommend this. Honestly enjoyable and a little silly. Not crazy spicy but a nice light book. Def worth the listen.

Great new alien series

Post apocalyptic story dealing with large flesh eating bugs, having to scavenge for food, and no working government. Women are looked at as commodities so they often break away from the human groups. Trying to make their way together, two friends, Alice and Natalie, make a home for themselves in the rubble constantly looking out for trouble from the bugs and the men. The people of earth blame aliens for the scourge of the humongous bugs, so relations with the alien warriors is not good. The aliens, however, are fighting against the large bugs, trying to save as many humans as they can. Kaj'k scents his mate in Alice one day while she was foraging and begins to court her. Terrified of him at first, she rebuffs him, but as he gently and courteously tries to befriend her while always being there when she needed help, her view of him softens. Lots of great world and character building make this a story one you don't want to end. Humor, battles, friendships and quirks also lend to it's enjoyment. Both narrators are great, fitting the characters well. Worth the time for sure!

Narration Perfection

Beyond loving this alien romance about a human & alien warrior escaping loneliness & finding love; I absolutely LOVED the narration for this. I love it when a male & female share the narration on a story, and the people narrating this were absolutely perfect, especially Troy Duran. He had the perfect voice for our Xarc’n warrior. Definitely recommend the story, and even more so, with it coming to life with just the right voices.

Excellent story and Grest Performance.

I love the entire series. There is just enough love. romance, sexy times, drama, world destruction, enemies, and fighting. The story was a great read that kept my interest and filled me with happiness fir the characters. I very much recommend this book and series. It is a easy read. Ice Planet Barbarians is a good comparison to give about these books. The performance was excellent, loved the male voice.

it's a mating story but it's really well written

I really enjoyed this story it's a well narrated love story. the girl isn't too much of a damsel and the guy isn't a jerk about it. if you need a guilty pleasure that still feels respectful I'd highly recommend this story.

10 stars 🥰🥰🥰!!

The story was awesome! It actually told a story. A good story! The narrators were absolutely excellent! Troy Duran Has a way of telling a story as if it is real! I tell you he is all in! I love the sound of his voice and he is very passionate. If I could select 10 stars it would be 10 stars! This book was very well balanced. Romanic!! And I love the way he called her his little flame! This book will make you laugh.. like so many romantic love stories. They always end up having too much sex through the whole book! They did not do that in here they actually told a good story. And when they did make love it was love! I love the way he kept telling her there will be no fooling around. 🤣🤣 There was so many cute parts in the story. I hope you don't miss out on this book because it's well worth the credit. I cannot wait to start the 2nd book!!! 💞💞💞💞💞

Cute story

Enjoyed the storyline, although it is like many in this genre. The characters are likable and the narrators did a good job with characters. Glad there are dual narrators to get the voices needed for characters!

Alien insects invade Earth!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌏
Character development: 😚🙂😁😍

The heroine: Alice - lives in an old hardware store with her younger cousin Natalie. She has learned to survive when the deadly alien insect swarms invaded Earth. She is able to get around and forage for supplies by covering her scent.

The Hero: Kaj’k - he is a Xarc’n warrior (hunters), an alien race that traveled the galaxies hunting the scourge (alien insect swarms that devastated planets and ate all the life as they went). The Xarc’n hunters came to Earth and offered to help in the fight. Most governments didn’t trust aliens after the scourge came.

The Story: Alice had a healthy fear of the huge Xarc’n warrior. The government warned that the Xarc’n may have sent the scourge only to come in later and clear them out and take over. Though Alice and Natalie know that probably isn’t true, there is still the fact that women seemed to disappear when the hunters are seen in the area. When she first sees Kaj’k all she knows that he is huge, muscular and pretty scary.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration was done by Troy Duran and Kiera Stevens. I love Troy Duran, who has a super deep and sexy voice which is perfect for the huge alpha alien male. Kiera Stevens has a pleasant feminine voice which is age appropriate sounding for Alice.

This was one of the few alien romances that takes place on earth and I liked the concept of this one. The Xarc’n race didn’t lose all of their females like in so many alien romances, but they are clones that were made specifically to hunt the scourge and so only males were created. Human women tended to waken their dormant mating instinct and Alice was that woman for Kaj’k.

Quick story, enjoyable characters w/a growing plot

I am used to the females getting abducted from Earth, so this was a nice read at home with male Aliens coming here. I felt that everything went very smoothly, quick but it still felt natural somehow. love the characters! There is some very hot sexy time so be aware, I personally love that lol.
The due narrators did wonderful! I absolutely loved the male performer's voice, so deep and growly!

I’d like my own Hunter.

First about the story; this series is one of my absolute favorites. It’s just something about the devastation of a bugpocalypse, finding love and learning to live with a new normal. The characters are people that you can relate to. The kind that you say hi to as you run and grab the mail. Even the Xarc’n warriors are the kinda of guys you want next to you when the going gets tough. With each book in the series I fell a little more in love the world and the characters in it.

Second about the voice actors….um yeah the male voice actor, Troy Duran, had a voice that makes you get all tingly feeling in all the right ways lol seriously delicious and sexy! The female voice actor, Keira Stevens, is sexy, fun and really made me feel like she was Alice.

I truly hope you give this one a listen! I highly recommend this fantastic read!

pretty enjoyable

I'm used to a lot of alien sci fi romances being 80% steam, 20% story but this one I'm happy to say is at least 70% story and 30% sexy.
these aliens aren't made out to be as attractive as what some other authors portray, however, to the heroine, he grows on her.
it's light and the story is short...hence 5ish hours but there is action, developing characters for future books in the series, and a tad too much convenience in certain situations.
also being short it moves the H and H's relationship along rather swiftly but the setting propels this plotline along so I guess it's expected.
I wish they were longer as the $
can get expensive for 4 hours or so. the next book is Natalie who was in book 1 so that being 5ish hours I'll give it a whirl.
not to mention ...narrator's...
troy durans voice OMG! it's gritty. raspy, deep and oh so want to listen some more.
first time listen to Keira and I totally enjoyed her narration.
