Publisher's Summary

From the celebrated author of Inward comes a new collection of poetry and short prose that illuminates how past wounds impact our present relationships.

In Clarity and Connection, Yung Pueblo explores how intense emotions accumulate in our subconscious and condition us to act and react the ways we do. With his distinctive voice, at once spare and evocative, the author guides us through the excavation and release of the past that is required for growth. On the topic of intimate relationships, he reflects:

  • Find a partner who accepts you as you are but also inspires you to evolve because they take their own growth seriously.
  • Love will not seek to change you. It will embrace you so unconditionally that you will feel safe enough to heal the old and put effort into the new.
  • The courage you both have to stay committed to the inner journey will reflect brightly on your relationship.

An unabridged audiobook, read by the author. This recording also includes a bonus audio interview with Yung Pueblo, in conversation with Tami Simon.

Halting speech halts listening

I just can’t get past the monotone halting speech. I’m sad I spent my credit on this instead purchasing the book as I have heard such good things and seen great quotes from the book.

Maintaining balance in the mind. Thoughtful and poetic.

What lovely, wise and digestible reminders to take the time to be truthful to yourself and life. Giving yourself space to nurture your mind and soul. Letting that energy organically flow into the poetic life you wish to create and project into the world via vibrations.

An Amazing Book

I placed a pre-order on his next book (October 4th, 2022) already.
I've read & listened to thousands of books. this author is one of my absolute favorites. I always come back to Yung's books for a repeat listen every few months, and always find a new nugget of gold to implement into my life.
An amazing writer

A meditation

Clarity and Connection is broadly a Zen meditation to bring about sustainable reflection and silence for readers. If you're lacking in self care practices or struggling with anxiety or depression, this audiobook teaches skills and helps reduce stress.

Horrible

The narration and content were miserable to listen to, I tried twice, it’s sappy and droll. Maybe the book is easier to read.

cadence... of speech. annoying... distracting.

I found the performance very slow and distracting with how much pause is in everything. it might be a nice book to read, but definitely not one to listen to

Great book, terrible reading

The book for me was ruined by the massive amounts of commas the reader was adding, pausing every 3rd or 2nd word made it unbearable to listen to.

I thought that a woman would free Latin America

What if freedom to Latin America came from a brave down to earth man who’s intention is to live his own life in peace?

Insightful

Excellent book. Really relatable, helped me understand some difficulties I’m going through. Audio was a little slow but easier rectified as just sped it up.

A Gem of a Read

The kind of book you can listen to over and over again and always learn something new. A book that you can dip into, pause, reread, start in the middle or go backwards. A gem of insight and inspiration.

An opinion piece delivered in an artifical way

I have not finished it but there appears to be no presentation or mention of evidence for the authers claims, which does not mean they are incorrect but does meam they should be treated with caution. There is also now indication that a phsyioligical or neurological investigation or understand has been attempted.

The narrators delivery attempts to be calming and clear but it comes across to me as artifically slow with somewhat random pause during sentences

Great book but the narrating was very boring

Yung had to great insights and points but the narrating has no life to it and was almost depressing so hard to listen to.
