What a ride!!!!!
I enjoyed this book immensely, and yet, some of what I'm about to write here may read as though I didn't. This plot moves horrendously fast. I mean, it was so hard to keep track of what was going on, I eventually stopped trying and just let it carry me along. I find myself wondering, having only just finished the book, if that was the author's plan for her readers all along. Many gaps don't get filled in till the very end, so if you read this book, which I highly recommend, you're better off just letting the action grab you and fling you onto this crazy roller-coaster of magic, monsters and martial arts. Oh yeah, there's some pretty whiz-bang tech in there as well. I can't wait to go back and read this book again, knowing what I now know, and seeing how all the pieces fit together.
The last words I leave you with are these: Tiger and Dragon just! plain! ROCK!!!!! 'Nuff said.

A great rendition of the work
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. This is an excellent rendition of the work and it's clear Mr. Reiniger did his homework, paying close attention to the author's intentions regarding her characters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite characters are Tiger and Dragon, the mysterious masked men of Strikersport. Hopefully the next time they show up in the series they'll get to play a larger part.
Which scene was your favorite?
Too many to count, although the moment when one of the characters summons help from the town's monster is certainly up there. Some people shouldn't be allowed near a fireplace.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did.
Any additional comments?
I'm more than slightly biased on the book, so I won't sing its praises to the high heavens. I will say that I was deeply impressed by Mr. Reiniger's ability to capture very nearly all the voices that the author had in her head, particularly old Mr. Chang; who I always hear as James Hong.
