Adorably naive and shockingly brilliant Harrison Lessardi only needs two things in life: his pet iguana, Steve, and his undying love of science. Story
Tristan Everett has always preferred the company of the dead because they usually don't talk back. Being a somewhat awkward introvert working as a pathologist at the Hackney Public Mortuary suits him just fine. That is, until a freak accident with a rogue ice cube and suddenly he can see ghosts. No longer content to just lie on the table and let him figure out how they died, they're now peering over his shoulder critiquing his work and confessing their most lascivious sins before skipping off merrily into the afterlife.

Story
Though I was born with the ability to see the dead, I struggled with it until my brother was killed and his ghost was left behind. Now, I’m determined to figure out who is responsible for his death…the problem is that Detective Maddox Booker, the one working the case, is a grumpy and stubborn man who wants nothing to do with me and definitely doesn’t believe in ghosts. It doesn’t help that I keep finding myself looking ridiculous in front of the detective, thanks to interfering ghosts who enjoy laughing at my expense.

Story
Getting into the vampire-only detective unit was the easy part. What’s going to be more difficult is dealing with my new partner - an ancient vampire who keeps threatening to eat me. The unit has never had a human in it. Marcus - or, as I like to call him: Fangy McFangface - would really prefer to keep it that way. He’s grumpy, short-tempered, and broody, but I have a way with words, and I know he’s starting to like me, even if he swears he’s not.

Smart men never dabble with demons. I never claimed to be smart, but at least, I’m powerful enough to control them. When I bound Havoc to me nearly 300 years ago, I never realized how difficult he’d make my life, although “accidentally” lighting him on fire every now and then does bring a smile to my face. Broke, almost homeless, and recently fired. Those are my official reasons for answering a wanted ad for a skeevy-looking bartender gig. It went downhill the moment they asked me to do a trial shift instead of an interview - to see if I'd mesh with their "special" clientele. I think that part went great. Their customers were complete dickheads, and I was an asshole right back. That's the definition of fitting in, right? I expected to get thrown out on my ass. Instead, they...offered me the job?

Publisher's Summary
Bookish, snarky, and fiercely independent Nate Boudreaux leads a solitary life. Between teaching classes at the university and working toward his PhD, he doesn’t need a partner to occupy his time, and he certainly doesn’t need a man like Alistair Drake complicating his future.
Alistair Drake, black sheep of the tremendously wealthy Drake family, is more interested in adding another notch to his bedpost than another zero to his bank account. When a Grindr message brings him to Nate’s doorstep, then straight to his bed, he has no reason to believe that what they share will be more than a simple hookup, until, three months later, a tug on his soul informs him otherwise.
For the Drake family has a secret - one that will force Nate and Alistair together as much as it will demand that they be torn apart. One that Alistair and his brothers have carried all their lives...and one that Alistair and Nate’s future children will carry, too.
Bound to each other by the three precious impossibilities, Nate and Alistair have no choice - no matter the consequence, they will fight for their forbidden clutch.
Clutch is a 64,000 word steamy omegaverse mpreg-ish romance that will leave you in stitches. It contains a Grindr hook-up gone very wrong (or very right), giant magical lizards, a pig named Olive, a wank throne, and a HEA, right down to the white picket fence.

So good!
This story is fun and sexy, with some wonderfully heartfelt moments mixed in. I enjoyed Nate and Alistair's growth from one night stand to eventually becoming mates. Their shared concern for their eggs was sweet. The cast of characters is large and interesting, and I can't wait for the other books I've already enjoyed to be released in audio format. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing this book to life. I highly recommend this to fans of paranormal tales and romantic comedy. Loved it!

Lovely performance
I loved this story when it first came out and this performance by new-to-me narrator Michael Ferraiuolo has added a delightful layer to an already great fantasy. I love the accents and the tones of voice that the actor imbues these characters with. Quite a lovely ride in a world where dragons can impregnate humans and those humans can lay eggs that become dragons. I like Ignatius 'Nate' Boudreaux, the snarky omega, and Alistair Drake, the sweet, successful-against-the-odds runt-of-his-clutch alpha, even more now that they've been given life in this performance. A full-on fantasy that is quite satisfyingly enriched by the acting, with a lot of world-building action interspersed with sweet mate-bonding.

I wish I could of given the narration more stars
The below review is very similar to the book review I posted. The audible version is so good, I think this may be the first time I’ve wanted to give more than 5 stars. Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration brought to life all the things I loved about the book. Alistair’s, Sebastian’s, and Everard’s snotty attitudes. Harry’s wonder and joy with life. Nate’s bemusement over EGGS. Really well done.
This book was a joy from beginning to end. Nate and Alistair so belonged together. Nate toned down Alastair’s want to be in control and Nate’s feisty personality came to the forefront in dealing with his mate.
The premise of the book is that dragons are (normal), eggs are (normal), mate bonds are (normal and so hot). So much happening in this book it’s hard not to give to much away.
The other characters are well fleshed out and added so much to the story. Even Olive the pig had a personality. However, Olive eating twice cooked pork is so not cool.
I enjoy Mpreg (even though this was very different). I’m very eager for the next book.

Absolutely Delightful
This was my first omegaverse read, so when this came out in audio, I didn't even wait for it to Whyspersync and used a coveted credit. I am here to to tell you - it was SO worth it! These authors first introduced me to this genre and I knew it was a must read when I saw everyone buzzing about it! I’m going to tell you I may be hooked. This story had a lot going for it, first the authors Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly (Lynn Van Dorn) - amazing. Second - dragons, knotting, mating, eggs (Meggs), and super hot sexy times! This was sexy, funny (guys I legit laugh snorted in PUBLIC while listening at the grocery store), and with some feels thrown in. If you haven’t read omegaverse in the past, this may be the book for you, and if you have this is THE book for you. I’m sure you’ve seen everyone raving about what an awesome job that Michael Ferraiuolo did with narrating Clutch and they are all so right!! Seriously this was a fantastic read, an amazing listen and I so happy the next book, Bond is already out in audio so I can slip right into Everard, Harry and Steve's story!

Perfect!
This is one of my favourite books, so when I heard that it would be in audio, and there was no hint of the narrator, I worried. I really wanted to enjoy the characters I'd already grown to love - Nate (Iggy), Alistair, Harry and Ev (especially the latter 2).
When it came out on July 4th, (as a transplanted Brit, it is not a holiday I readily identify with, for ... reasons ...), I was happily surprised; when I saw the narrator- Michael Ferraiuolo, very pleased; when I listened, extremely pleased and when I heard Harry personified, I was ecstatic!
This is going to be an audiobook I listen to again and again. Mr. Ferraiuolo does a fantastic job with all the characters - there is no dissecting what was done well, etc. The entire narration is PERFECT! (well, the way Alistair is pronounced is a little different from what I'm used to, but no matter). I am hoping that the next 2 books will be available soon, and with Mr. Ferraiuolo
Ms. Scott and Kelly, your *clutch* landed in the right hands! Loved it!

Narrator Michael Ferraiuolo is sheer perfection!😍
What a wonderful introduction to the writers' work! Authors Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly come up with an absolutely delightful omegaverse series with the occasional mpreg occurrences. The pairings in each book of the series are different from each other as are the conflicts with their respective resolutions. Though readers will find their favorite among the stories, each tale is wonderfully written and adds beautifully to the entire series arc.
The writers start the readers off with a surprising event that occurs for Alistair Drake and especially Nate Boudreaux. Having the inconvenience of a heat was the principal reason Ph.D. candidate Nate was on suppressants. He isn't interested in a relationship having a full schedule working as a university teaching assistant and the research for his doctoral dissertation. When his suppressants fail and he is in heat, he arranges for 'special services' with an alpha on Grindr just to get that part over and done.
Alpha Alistair Drake is thrilled with an opportunity to get himself some omega hotness but is a bit taken aback by the spitfire Nate that answers the door. No-nonsense, unendearing, and impatient, Nate isn't as grateful for the opportunity to have Alistair fulfill his sexual fantasies. He's expected to do a job (NO KISSING) and then get out.
Three months later, Nate experiences excruciating pain that results in him and his roommate Harry's being party to an enormous surprise. Three glorious eggs are laid and Alistair Drake, the Grindr alpha, is back busting down the door! Alistair Drake comes to collect his clutch of what turns out to be dragon's eggs and Nate isn't letting him leave without them. With a culture that dictates the omega is removed from the lives of the young, Alistair proves once again that he is a black sheep of the family. He and Nate will raise their young together!
Dragons! There are so many readers thoroughly fascinated with tales of dragons. Dragon shifter stories are especially captivating, given their ability to go about unnoticed by any human population. So the premise for the Forbidden Desires series is extraordinary all by itself. But the writers make a remarkable effort to give readers a first-rate novel with a compelling storyline, incredible world-building, marvelous character development, perfect pacing (the rate at which the writer introduces key elements in the story), and beautiful balance (the distribution of varying types of elements in the narrative). What an absolutely amazing first book of the series! 😍

Piper and Virginia wrote a very funny, steamy and touching shifter mpreg book that should not be missed.

Great start - looking forward to the rest of the series!
Fantastic start to the series - a whole new world with dragons and mates and magic, beautifully written and (once I got over the voice reading it not being mine!) fantastically narrated. I particularly love Harry and his voice, although I’m fairly certain Seb is Chris Hemsworth!!
After the initial shock of finding that dragons exist, and he’s birthed eggs, Nate Boudreaux has a turbulent introduction to the laws, family and world of his eggs’ sire, Alistair. With ups and downs, and old feuds, the constant is his bond to his eggs and, as it develops, to their father.

Great Book and Great Audio
Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly are an instant-click for me in print, and now it seems they will be in audio as well. This was my first audiobook narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo and I was extremely impressed. To start, Clutch is a fantastic story. It is incredibly unique - set in omegaverse where mpreg exists, the omega MC Nate is simply looking for someone to help through his heat without any complications of strings. The alpha, Alistair, is looking for a similar hookup but has his own hidden secret; he is a dragon capable of impregnating an omega with eggs. By accident and chance Nate gets knocked (egged?) up, with some pretty serious consequences to follow. Nate is sassy, opinionated, and willing to do whatever is needed to keep his egg babies safe. While he did not ever expect to have an omega or a clutch, Alistair is similarly inspired to protect his new family, and his possessive streak - innate, it seems, to dragons - develops. Ferraiuolo does a fantastic job of creating a series of voices for a pretty big cast, somehow making each distinct and suitable to the character. From Nate's soft but strong tone, to Alistair's drawling upper-crust British accent, to the sarcastic undertones of Everard and the bookish Harry - each character's voice is chosen with care and precision, and perfectly fits. I cannot express how much I look forward to further partnerships between these authors and narrator.

Superb from start to finish.
I loved this book when I first read it, so snapped up the audio version when released.
I wasn't disspointed.
Michael Ferraiuolo does one of the best narrations I've heard. Each character is voiced so differently that it is easy to know who was speaking at any given time and with four regular plus a series of secondary characters that must of been quite a task.
I absolutely loved this audio version and really hope Ferraiuolo will be doing the rest of the series.

So good!
My first Dragon shifter book and I loved it! The characters are so dynamic, bold and often hilarious. I loved Nate's sass, protectiveness, and fire. He's a great character and the perfect match for the sweet and often clueless Alistair.
I didn't know what to expect from this book or these authors but was pleasantly surprised and draw in from the first sentence. The writing style is captivating and the characters so unique and vibrant I couldn't help but love them right from the start. I loved the dynamics between Nate and Alistair and how their relationship evolved over time. I felt they were well matched and liked the slower progress to their mating.
I loved Alistair's cluelessness and how he would take what Nate said literally! It leads to some hilarious scenes!
My favorite character would have to be Harry though. Nate's nerdy, inquisitive, overzealous former roommate and best friend. All Harry's interactions are hilarious and endearing I can't wait for his story!!!
Great story, wonderful adventure, and fantastic narration! A definite winner for me!!!
Thanks for reading!

Funny and entertaining!
OMG…So funny! A snarky omega, a dragon shifter alpha, one wild night, and an unexpected clutch lead to a wild, fantastic adventure. I loved the characters, the comedic family relations, and Harry…oh Harry. An internet hook-up leads to unexpected consequences and a possibility of love and family. Very enjoyable! I can’t wait to listen to more in this series.
Good narration and emotional delivery.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook through the author and have voluntarily left this honest review.

I've seen Clutch recommended on multiple occasions, mostly due to love everyone has for the narrator of this series Michael Ferraiuolo - I love listening to this narrator but wasn't sure on the content of the story, so I borrowed the ebook through KU to see if I would be interested in the audio. I enjoyed reading it enough that I then upgraded to the audio and listened, I did enjoy it more in audio.
Clutch is the first Mpreg that I've read. I love reading m/m storylines, but Mpreg wasn't sitting on the top of my TBR. I actually enjoyed the storyline more than I was expecting probably due to the shifter aspect - Dragons, eggs, baby dragons, a hilarious secondary character who quickly became my favourite part of this story. Harry was hilarious - his love of science and inquisitive nature, plus his pet iguana Steve.........I didn't mind the 2 main characters Nate and Alistair, but it was Harry that has convinced me to keep on going with this series. Fortunately his book is next in the series.

Strange but fun
Nate has a random hook up with Alistair, a dragon in human form, and ends up laying a clutch of 3 beautiful eggs. I do enjoy this crazy series, although I thought Bond (book 2) was more fun. Clutch and Bond cover much the same story told from different viewpoints. Michael Ferraiuolo really does bring the characters to life!

The most perfect pairing of Authors and Narrator. I have enjoyed every single moment of this story. Humour, sweet romance and family bickering all brought to life.

Adorably naive and shockingly brilliant Harrison Lessardi only needs two things in life: his pet iguana, Steve, and his undying love of science. That is until he witnesses his best friend lay eggs, and a third must-have strolls into his apartment - the sardonic and mischievous Everard Drake. Everard Drake, celebrated doctor of the tremendously wealthy Drake family, has one goal in mind when he arrives at the scene of his youngest brother’s latest disaster: incinerate Harrison Lessardi.
