Publisher's Summary

Co-parenting with one's ex can be very difficult in life, especially when they are toxic. Pew Research revealed that one out of five children have witnessed what parental break is about. Narcissistic abuse sometimes results in trauma for most kids, except if the two parties agree to leave their differences aside and make the children the center of focus and decision-making.

A narcissistic personality disorder is "driven by self-interest, a desire for power and control, and in a bid avoid negative emotions and being accountable to other people. The narcissistic person often struggles with emotional regulation and has a very low tolerance for their emotional world; their efforts to avoid and deflect having to face their own emotions manifest as minimizations and invalidations of the other's, often in terribly abusive ways."

This book will help you build your confidence after coming out of narcissistic abuse in a toxic relationship. Not everyone survives such, but now that you have survived, you deserve a better life, and that is what this book seeks to give you. I know the reason why you picked up this book is to learn how to co-parent with your narcissistic ex, and I'm glad to let you know that picking up this book is the best decision you have made

Ok. Sexist. Not much real world advice.

Author is pretty sexist in my opinion.
Uses male pronouns most of the time.

Goes into decent detail about different types of narcissism.

Very little real world advice on how to co-parent.

A great informative audio book for us!

I am reluctant to criticize someone as warm as the author who is speaking on an important, Under-represented psychological concept.

A helpful guide

This is an essential guide for everyone. Maintaining -- and potentially developing your boundaries is the second major element to this Boundaries are essential as they keep you self aligned, centered and connected to your truth. Without boundaries, you may fall prey to your partner's malicious intentions or attempts of sabotage. A helpful guide for all of us. Awesome!

Wouldn't recommend

This book is poorly worded and most chapters end with the reader/ listener feeling worse about their experience. Often ending chapters with well this is what you're gonna get and it is what it is. I was disappointed and shocked at the way it was written. For a book being about quite a sensitive and traumatising experience that so many of us have suffered with or are still dealing with.
