Amazing audible

Listening to this book is like listening to something in my life and behaviour. I never think of myself as codependent despite how relaxed I am. And before I listened to this book I didn't know how many different types of codependent behavior there are. You also assume that your relationships are unhealthy but never realize what is wrong. I want to list this book the way it doesn't

Fascinating!

The discussion is insightful and informative as it addresses subjects such as what codependency has traditionally meant in psychological terms, and how it can all be traced back to feelings not deserving of love and affection, as well as a lack of self-compassion and self-worth issues.

It also opened my eyes to the different ways you can change your behavior about your illness and how you can stop it.

Awesome!

I was concerned that I made the wrong decision when I first started listening to it simply because I didn't know it was about being both Codependent and Empathic. However, it has ended up going through both topics in depth and differentiates the two in a nice and simple way to understand.

Suggested!

Plenty of these tales had resonated with me so deeply. It was one of the most successful non-self help audiobooks I have listened to. For someone with relationship issues I would strongly recommend this.

This book was a game-changer for me!

I have struggled with codependency all of my life and never knew it. My type of codependency is being a caretaker and people-pleaser, always putting myself last to the point of jeopardizing my own heart, mind, and soul.

I am well-guided by it.

As the book imparts, there’s a certain amount of life-learning that comes from fixing one’s own mistakes. If you come in and fix everything for someone, that person loses a chance to learn coping mechanisms and develop self-confidence. How valuable are these pieces of information!

Isn’t this informative?

Some situations cannot be rectified with either support or saving. Being the perfect partner or family member will not fix someone’s abusive behavior. Nor will it cure their addiction. Most people need mental health treatment before they can quit abusing others. People with drug or alcohol addiction may also need rehab.

Lots of meaningful advice.

In a relationship, if one partner is giving too much, then the relationship is not a healthy one. A healthy relationship is a give-take one, initiating both partners to grow and the relationship becomes an ideal one. Don’t you think so?
