Personally I think this book is great

Personally I think this book is great. A lot of reviews here are listening that it doesn't give you step by step instructions on how to improve emotional intelligence. I don't think step by step instructions should be applied when dealing with emotional intelligence. From there, step by step instructions will need to be developed YOU!

I'm satisfied to purchase this book

It was soon very obvious that I did not understand what being codependent meant. I had always viewed this as a negative label stuck on those whose loved one where addicts. But it is so much more. In fact this is a problem that effects many. I'm satisfied to purchase this book.

Listen this book if you have anxiety

This book is outstanding. Even if you are not a child or relative or friend of someone with substance issues, even if you do not consider yourself Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem, this book is wonderful for building self esteem and setting boundaries, or generalized anxiety.

Yes, this book is absolutely helping me change my life. All these years of pain, trying to fix everything for everyone, whether they asked for it or not, anxiety, depression, craziness and then ultimately losing who I was completely and ignoring desperately needed self care.

Good book for those suffering from codependency

I enjoyed this book. It mainly focuses on the person living with an alcoholic or an addict, that person in this book is referred to as the codependent. A term not used by many in the field of psychology now, but it is a term most everyone can relate to after listening this book.

This book gave me a better understanding way

I suppose living with an addict brings out codependent characteristics in everyone, and in varying degrees. The bottom line is, in my opinion, let those addicts take care of themselves. Let them go and try to recover on their own, live your life for you.

Definitely worth a listen!

Excellent book!!! Highly recommended!!! As a therapist myself, I found this book accessible to all. It's easy to listen and the step by step exercises are invaluable. The author also gives you some guidelines as to how to reduce this saboteur. Plainly audio and easily understood. An excellent book. I highly recommend it.

That's amazing guide

I had not realized I was codependent but when I did I went right into recovery I did not want to be this way so I’ve been working hard on my codependent behavior. This book empowered me to make change and it feels good!
