Publisher's Summary
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), reduce stress and anxiety, overcome depression, and improve your life!
So what exactly is cognitive behavior therapy?
How does it work?
When do you use it?
How would you know if that's the right treatment for you or for someone else?
CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy made simple.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the assumption that we can solve problems by treating the negative thoughts of the person, and by treating his behavior patterns(behavioral change).
The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy is to track down the thoughts and behaviors which makes the person avoid or freeze in a state of anxiety, suffer from obsessions, and replace those thoughts and behaviors with healthy, productive actions. This will make the person thrive, and will drastically improve his anxiety feelings.
The focus of CBT is to address symptoms while they are present, and to learn skills and techniques that can be used in the ongoing improvement of mental health.
People suffering from the following problems could benefit greatly from treatment with CBT:
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Child and adolescent problems
- Chronic pain
- Depression
- Eating disorders
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder

Endless bullet point list
Nobody has written this book, the author seems to have just compiled slides from lectures and put them together in no particular order. The outcome is an endless list of bullet points. It's hard to imagine how anybody could benefit from this, definitely not any patient. The narrator could not save this but she should not even have tried.
