Frustrating narration

Content is excellent. However, it was either read by computer or by one of the most boring narrators on the planet. In addition, there were many mistakes in the reading which made it past the editor.

So if you were just looking for the information, it is a good choice. On the other hand, if you were looking for something that is going to hold your interest as well, you could probably do better.

Awesome audible

This is nice and it helps sort out your feelings keep you thinking and motivated to complete things and keeps me going in the direction I need to be in. Pacing yourself is key and the follow through on your part is as well. Good book if you can commit yourself to some self-love.

Reset your thinking process

I work in the mental health field and have had training on CBT and seen the results of this type of therapy. I found the book to be very easy to understand. If a person cannot (or will not) attend therapy in person this seems like the next best thing, especially if the depression and/or anxiety is not already too debilitating.

A great guide to a healthier mind!

In the mental health field, I feel like CBT leaves a lot of mystery for those who do not identify as using this approach. I utilize CBT regularly when working with clients, and to me, this book does a great job of giving you an introduction and understanding of what may feel mysterious or confusing about CBT, both for mental health professionals and clients.

Well book with useful exercises

As someone who has benefited from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), I highly recommend this book - and wish it had been written years ago! I come from a family with a history of anxiety and depression, and was both told - and believed. This book helps me a lot.

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this book initially and after reading a couple of other reviews as well as peaking inside the book with the Amazon option "Look inside", I decided to give it a try and see if it would be interesting listening.

incredible work

It clarified the theory they have for CBT! But at the same time gave very clear instructions on what one can do to APPLY this theory. I listen to many books on CBT, and this was the best by far... I definitely recommended it.

Everyone should possess this book

This has been one of the most interesting books I have read/listened to on my journey as a counselling student. It is concise and full of learning and life lessons; some of which I wish I knew earlier. I’m already recommending it to family members. The Narrator has a pleasant voice too. I will be listening again and again.

Very useful and helpful!

Great tips and information, and good narration as well. Would recommend this to anyone/everyone! :)

I have struggled with mental health issues all my life, and often feel hopeless about my situation, but after listening to this, I am feeling optimistic about the future.
I believe implementing these strategies could really help me to suffer less and get more out of life. I've already been feeling better over the last couple days as I've listened to the book and tried out some of the recommendations given along the way.
Now it's just a matter of keeping it up!
I took some notes and will be listening a second time to take more.

worthwhile

This is a great introduction to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Almost everyone can benefit from CBT at some point in their life. It's easy to read and very helpful in understanding yourself and those around you.
