Publisher's Summary

Do you suffer from uncontrollable anxiety? Have you been avoiding things that you used to enjoy? Do you often feel sad and low for no reason? Perhaps you can’t stand being in a public place alone, so you take your dog everywhere with you. Maybe you can’t stop binge eating, or you may have difficulty looking at the positive side of things. Do you feel constantly overwhelmed by the daily stressors of life? Perhaps you have been unable to shake a bad mood off for months.

If these statements sound familiar to you, you’ve come to the right place for help. This audiobook answers all your lifelong struggles with mental health challenges. CBT is the most effective treatment for all sorts of physical and mental health conditions and is practiced worldwide. It simply deals with changing the negative thoughts to change how we feel and behave as a result. Your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions are infinitely linked in a loop; when one changes, the other follows.

Remember, CBT isn’t just one thing. Instead, it’s a collection of cognitive and behavioral therapies that originated separately but merged later. This audiobook provides you with practical, easy-to-understand tips and techniques to recognize negative thinking, identify and change your core beliefs, and learn relevant lifestyle habits that create and maintain your problems. It’ll teach you more adaptive coping skills, mindfulness practice, goal-setting, cognitive restructuring, etc.

In this audiobook, you’ll learn about:

  • Types of anxiety disorders and their symptoms
  • What causes anxiety?
  • The cognitive triad of depression
  • Basic principles of CBT
  • History of CBT
  • The cognitive model behind CBT
  • How behavioral activation works for depression?
  • How to set effective goals in CBT?
  • Exposure therapy to face your fears
  • Anger management strategies
  • Being kind to yourself
  • Ten life-changing habits to adopt

This audiobook is perfect for you, even if you’ve never heard of or applied any CBT techniques before.

So what are you waiting for? Buy this audiobook today to get back the life you deserve, and become the best version of yourself.

Professionally Informative and Personally Useful

This is one of the best audiobooks I have ever purchased. I thought I would just be learning about CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I did learn a ton. But I also can honestly say that this audio course changed my life bc it taught me how to see my own thoughts and feelings from a more objective perspective. For me this was a game changer. I have tried to work with therapists at different points in my life and did not have much luck. I was happily surprised by this audio course.

Everything you could want to know about CBT

The author did an incredible job presenting this info. He was extremely clear, informative, and unbiased. He often presented CBT in a wider context in terms of what other approaches were available and what the research supported. I always felt like he was an incredibly smart honest objective teacher whose ultimate goal was simply giving people the best tools available and was open about what is yet to be fully understood.

I learned so many techniques that I’ve decided to listen to the audiobook again with my kids. Listening to one chapter a night.

Great audiobook! I totally recommend it!

As a result of going through some difficult times in my life, and at my doctor's suggestion, I began seeing a therapist for cognitive behavioral therapy. I wasn't satisfied, so I began listening to this audio book on CBT. It helped me understand that the therapist was setting the groundwork in our first few sessions, and gave me a very thorough understanding of how CBT works and the many different varieties of treatment and strategies that are available. I strongly recommend this book.
