Story
The anatomy of the human body is still somewhat of a mystery to us. You might be shocked reading this because even if you have not engaged in medical studies, you still feel that you know quite a lot about the human body, especially with the treasure trove of information you can find online, these days. Yet, there are parts, functions, and processes in the human body that are still very poorly understood (and downright misunderstood in many cases).

Story
People who have experienced a traumatic event may feel a wide range of emotions, such as anxiety, anger, fear, and depression. The truth is that there is no right or wrong way to react to trauma, but there are ways that they can heal from experience and uncover their own capacity for resilience, growth, and recovery. Psychotherapy is a crucial component of mental health treatment. Three of the most common approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Publisher's Summary
Do you want to learn ways to overcome depression, anxiety, panic, phobias, social negative thinking attacks, and improve anger management? If yes, then keep listening....
Whether you’re mildly depressed, you’ve spent countless years dealing with intense anxiety, or you’re currently experiencing some other emotional discomfort, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) can help.
CBT is a treatment modality that is used to help individuals change their maladaptive thinking patterns. The premise of this technique is that when a person changes his maladaptive thinking patterns that it leads to changes in emotion and behavior as well. This process requires a significant amount of self-awareness because participants not only work to adjust their mindsets but they have to make extensive changes in their behavioral patterns, as well. The combined changes in thinking and behavioral patterns alter how they feel about themselves and others so that they can experience a more balanced existence.
Although many people work with a therapist during the course of CBT treatment, this book can help you whether you see a therapist or not. It just means that you have to be even more accountable to yourself for completing the techniques that are provided in the upcoming chapters of this book. This concept is stressed repeatedly in this section because it is in the actual completion of these exercises that you will see the most growth.
You will find some of the tips about Cognitive Behavior Therapy in the chapters of this book that include:
- CBT starter guide
- Goals setting
- Identifying obstacles
- Activate behavior
- Identify and break negative thoughts
- Change and identify your core beliefs
- Maintain mindfulness
- Manage excessive anger
- The behavioral side of CBT
- Support CBT
- Decluttering your mind and life
- The key to feeling good
- And much more

The audiobook is really informative!
The audiobook cover definitely caught my eye with a shadow person inserting a new cog into their head and I found it representative of the audiobook contents. I enjoyed the inclusion of the religious and philosophical texts and that the author chose a variety in order to help the listener integrate the process with his or her own personal beliefs. I think the workbook portion is a huge bonus too because it truly helped me in identifying issues that were contributing factors that I hadn't even considered before.

OK content, Worst narration I've ever heard
The content of this audio book is OK. The narration is unprofessional, unedited, and illiterate. Also, annoying and distracting.
Every minute or so, the narrator mispronounces words, misreads content, jumbles words. The audio seems to be recorded in someone's bathroom (and not Beatles' bathroom), with echos and long pauses between sections. The narrator speaks English like a 9 year old who hasn't heard the words before.
In listening to this content, I constantly stop and say to myself, "that's not how you pronounce that word," "put the accent in the right place," "what a word jumble."
I will be returning this book. I notice that all of the reviews are 5 star, and all written at around the same time. Shills.
