Publisher's Summary

This duet contains both books of the Collateral Damage Duet!

Gabriela

Stefan Sabbioni showed up uninvited in my bedroom on my 16th birthday. He stood in the shadows smelling of whiskey and death and wrapped a broken, blood-crusted necklace around my neck. I thought he'd strangle me with it.

That night, he left a message for my father. He said he'd be back to take something precious.

I never delivered that message, though. I wonder if things would be different if I had because now, two years later, he's back. And he's not hiding in any shadows.

He's come to make good on his promise.

He's back to take that something precious.

Me.

Stefan

Marchese is the manipulator of my family's tragedy. I won't just bring him to his knees. I'll bury him for what he did.

Taking his daughter is only the beginning. I'll do it knowing I'm starting a war. I'll do it knowing my enemies will become his allies. They'll stop at nothing to destroy me and he'll stop at nothing to get her back.

I've never shied away from war, though. I'm not one to play nice and I don't share my toys. I'll demolish you if you touch what's mine.

And she is most definitely mine.

I did love most of this story... ❤ but...

A story about a woman who is forced to marry a man to pay off her father's debt. She moves from the rule and control of her father to the rule and control of the man she is to marry.

She is often portrayed as helpless and weak. However, when her thoughts are misguided and dire, it's really hard to listen to her babble so much negativity. I wanted to slap 😤her myself. On top of that " she refuses to listen to the truth". This I think was the downfall of a great book.

The narration is just perfect. 👏👏

Annoying childish heroine

Gabriella was the most annoying g childish ungrateful heroine I’ve read in a very long time, I felt sorry for Stefan. He was constantly putting himself and his plans that were 2 years in the making at risk for her, and what did he get in return? A little brat who continuously called him a liar even though she wouldn’t shut up and listen long enough for him to get a word in edgewise. How can you decide he a liar when you won’t even let him bleeping talk…ugh! I barely finished this book. I wish I didn’t waste my credit or time. Good jog to the narrators but the work was very disappointing.

Collateral Damage

OMG! This book completely twisted my insides! The story not only sucked you in, it sucked in your whole being. Natasha’s writing is incredible, this story is phenomenal. I loved this book, hated this book, couldn’t put it down, had to put it down, didn’t want it to end, couldn’t wait to finish. Now, I want more. Best mafia book ever. Read It!💖😈💖

Not my favorite by Natasha

Actually, easily, my LEAST favorite. I’d been hoping all the other reviews were being dramatic about the level of Gabriellas immaturity but nope! She was the most unlikeable heroine I’ve ever read. Never wanted to listen, just made snap judgements and made life WAY TOO hard for herself. I wanted to pop on the story and smack her…on several occasions.
Stephan, now he wanted to be loved and worked to that end, he was never malicious for the sake of being malicious.
Thankfully all of her other books have been a solid 5 so I won’t let this one bad duet deter me from Natasha!

Gabby was soo annoying!

I get the predicament she was in, but darn, she acted like a ignorant rash 13 year old. I kept finding myself admonishing her out loud for how she was acting 🤦🏼‍♀️ I really wanted to smack her and take Stephan for myself 😄 Narration was excellent though.

Love the story plot

It’s s slow burn book. I usually don’t mind a naïve female heroine but this one was way too stupid for my liking. I wanted to stop listening because she just made stupid decisions after stupid decision. She’s hot and cold too often. Other that thank the plot and performance was really good.

MCF was very annoying/frustrating

MCF was very annoying/frustrating. She kept jumping to stupid conclusions, acting rashly, and really just a bratty child. Her character never grew nor improved, and the relationship between her and the MCM never really developed…the story was really weak on the development of their feelings for each other. I’d say skip this one…just left me wanting

Okay,,,, wish I hadn't used a credit

Honestly not great.... I mean not awful by any means. But really if you've read one mafia book you've read them all...
Main character was so hot and cold, one minute strong, one minute so childish. I originally hated her being called a child when her questions were valid. But in other situations she was very childish and I wanted to tell her to wake up.

The female narrator had a horrible male voice. It was difficult to listen to. also the incest was really unnecessary and really gross. That it was so flippant and no one cared, really disturbing.

Not worth the credit.

Annoying 'heroine'

Potential to be a very good book but the female character is so frustrating and annoying. Unable to warm to her and believed Steffan could do A LOT better than her. It's such a shame as I would have given this book 5 stars if it wasn't for the FC.

wow really fantastic story

I just couldn't stop listening. I listened till the early hours of the morning. The only thing was that the heroine was really annoying, I couldn't bear how stupid and ignorant she was at times. It's true she was only 18yo but she acted like she was13yo at times, which ruined it a bit. She was so childish.
The narrators were great except that I would prefer it if they read the dialogue according to gender, I didn't see the point of having both otherwise. .
