Buyer Beware!!!

If you look at the reviews you can tell they were all written around the same time and probably by the same (fake) person. It's spam basically to drive up the ratings on the book. The book itself reads like spam. And who is G.S. Hook? I can't find anything about this "author" and it is listed as "publisher". Just weird...

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

I LOVE THIS BOOK! As a specialist, I'm continually working with customers to create and improve their relational abilities. This book is short, sweet, to the point, and jam-pressed with incredible data and genuinely accommodating, viable activities. It WILL help improve relational abilities in the event that you set these things in motion. Exceedingly prescribed.

Extraordinary coursebook.

Extraordinary coursebook, and far and away superior read. Typically course books are dry and loaded with a great many facts after certainty, offering little substance. This course reading offers a guided dialog that makes you take a gander at your life as a progression of individual interchanges.

Best avoided

The book is riddled with cliques, generalisations and over-simplifications. It's of such poor quality I'm surprised it has been published. I can't help but wonder if the other 5 star reviews which persuaded me to try it are genuine. Overall I'd describe it as being of very poor quality. Vocal delivery is hard on the ear. I also noticed grammatical errors that somehow slipped through editing.

The point at which I concluded my time was being wasted was its discussion on how to avoid managers discriminating against minorities in hiring. The solution? Have a clear written policy that explaining they shouldn't. Problem solved right? Factors like prejudice and unconscious bias aren't considered. There were many other examples of the author attempting to make a complicated world one dimensional. Given it's about communication skills, the fact that it does the job of communicating and engaging so poorly pretty much says it all.

Best avoided.

Explains importance of but does not teach.

This book explains the importance of good communication in various settings but offers little advice on how to become a better communicator. I am aware of the importance, that is why I brought a book to improve my communication skills.

Robotic Narration

While there are few useful advices, some to the point but most specfic to professional work environment but what ruins the book is the narrator. It's just so robotic that I have started to think it's a text to speech engine
