Story
What happens when you learn to communicate better with everyone? No doubt you’ve had to endure a painfully awkward conversation, more than once in your life. Maybe it was a stranger, a colleague, or a date. Maybe it was a group discussion. You found yourself breaking a sweat, not knowing what to say. The more time passed, the more tense you became. You thought about all the communication books you’ve read in your life and wished you had them with you…to knock yourself unconscious as a way out of the conversation. The best thing about the whole situation was the moment it ended.

Yes, I know! If you are reading this page, then you probably cannot establish an effective communication with your partner, you don't understand how, despite your efforts, you end up falling back into the same discussions - in essence, it seems like you speak two different languages and this makes you suffer a lot because you feel that the person you love is an opponent/competitor.

Mindfulness is not about complicated and otherworldly woo-woo spiritual practices. It doesn't require you to be a part of any religion or a movement. What mindfulness is about is living a good life (that's quite practical, right?), and this book is all about deepening your awareness, getting to know yourself, and developing attitudes and mental habits that will make you not only a successful and effective person in life, but a happy and wise one as well.

not what I expected
the book come with information which was good, very minimal, the information it comes with you have to go to the website it includes to get further instructions, workshops, exercises, etc.....i bought the book to get all the information not to go on an additional website yo get the information... I listened to the audio on my way to work and way home (long drive). if it had included a pdf yhat would have been nice. but this book was more of a college text book material not so much as a helpful guide...for instance when it talks about the 7 ways to practice communication it first even list yhem it says go on the website....so I would not recommend it. not informative at all...hoever I am happy yhat this couple did get through their differences and resolved all their marital issues.

Very basic.
This book is very basic level communication advice. It is also directed at couples who are doing/reading this book together. If you're looking for a book on how to get your partner who won't communicate to communicate this isn't it. If your partner is willing to do this book with you, you must already have an open line of communication.

To the point and easy to implement
My husband and I listened to this book every night together, took notes, then implemented the steps. It was easy to understand and follow and helped us immediately. I have a degree in Psychology so I know how in depth communication can go, but this couple kept it light and easy for any reader to understand, enjoy and implement. I would recommend it to any couple, at any stage in their marriage.

good book.
A lot of information to take in and try. A lot of it is common sense and respect although, we tend to lose that in conversation with people we love because we think they will forever take our crap and you theirs. Some of it seems like "thats not me" though, fake it till you make it and it becomes a habit. Hope others enjoy it also.

Well worth it
The content is excellent and I look forward to using what I have learned in this book in my own marriage. My wife will also be reading this book this week and I think she will agree. I learned a ton from the book, some of the nuances of communication that I had no idea about such as properly phrasing things to avoid certain connotations.
The narrator did a good job, but to me it felt like I was sitting at work listening to a computer based training class on safety or something. But he was clear and concise so 4/5 for narration.

Absolutely wrong narration style, mediocre content
Narrator uses radio announcer voice, which is completely misplaced in a book about emotions, communication, and sex. Content is just a compilation of other authors' work with personal stories in between. The two authors quote themselves through the whole book, which get annoying after a few times.
