Proven communication skills to change the relationship immediately!

Does miscommunication affect your relationship?

Would you like to learn basic techniques to develop your communication skills?

Efficient communication is difficult, but it is not impossible.

Everyone knows that good communication is the secret to a productive and effective relationship. The thing is, so many people just don't seem to communicate effectively.

Relationship communication is all about telling the other person about your thoughts, your expectations, your worries, your concerns, your hopes, etc. Failure to do so will hold couples apart and, over time, lose love and feelings for one another, even though they live under the same roof. Communication is the fostering of relationships. It's not just a marriage relationship with your employers, friends, relatives, children, and parents that needs a certain amount of effective communication and consistency.

"Any issues need to be resolved otherwise you will not be able to find peace." I was a bad communicator at one point, and it had a significant effect on my relationship. When I first began my path to learning communication strategies, I began to gradually apply what I learned and to make a deliberate effort to develop my skills. Almost instantly, I saw the results and found myself in a more safe and happier relationship.

The audiobook includes validated steps and techniques to develop the communication skills in your relationship.

Open and consistent communication skills can be established, and you're at a great start listening to this audiobook. Learn how to properly connect with your partner and see that your relationship is changing today.

This audiobook will be dedicated to offering a very comprehensive look at how to achieve a life free from challenging marriage contact, as well as an introductory and advanced education on how to successfully recover from it.

God-centeredness, and practical counsel.

The kids told my wife and me that this year they weren't coming home for Thanksgiving, so we decided we'd use the long weekend instead for our own little marriage retreat. We found an little farmhouse about an hour away offering a loft apartment for a three-day rental, and the two of us each brought a copy of Keller's book and spent those days working through the book, chapter by chapter. Both Tim and Kathy shaped the book, and Kathy directly wrote at least one chapter. I appreciated their honesty, biblical foundation, God-centeredness, and practical counsel.

Tremendously helpful

I give this to every young couple getting married in my church. Tremendously helpful during engagement, and anytime in your marriage you need to give some attention to what it's all about so it works like it should!

Go for it

One of the chapters is on singleness which I found really helpful and also challenging to my own views. They make the case that Christianity is one of the few world views which holds singleness in high regard and not a lesser life. It is in the church, the family of God, that singles are able to learn and grow from time with the opposite sex, in an obviously less intense way than marriage, but nonetheless just as effectively. Also a challenge to churches to love and support singles, not making them feel, in the worst case scenario, as second class Christians.

Relationship advice book

As I said in the review title, you will hopefully learn as much about God through this book as you will about relationship advice, so don't need to be contemplating marriage any time soon to read it. The Kellers also give great advice on what to seek in a potential spouse, showing how Christian values are very different from what our (particularly western) culture says we need to find a partner.

Great theological and practical view on marriage

If you're looking for a book that will describe the history, meaning, and purpose of marriage, this is it. It's not a marriage counseling book nor a weekend retreat themed book. We have plenty of those kinds of books on our shelves, so this was a welcome departure from the 200-page "Husbands love your wives and wives obey your husbands" types.

Great theological and practical view on marriage and human relationships in general. Using Ephesians 5 as a base text, Tim and his wife Kathy basically give an extended opening up of the passage, which reveals amazing views of God's design and purpose for marriage and it's reflection of a triune God, as well as very real, practical advice about seeking, maintaining and delighting in a marriage relationship.

Grab this book

As the daughter of a forty+ year Christ-centric marriage I can also see how the instruction they give is invaluable to married couples. They don't offer a five step if you do this, this, and this you will attract a godly mate, instead it's a Bible based exploration of why God gave us marriage and what it means for everyone- single or married, divorced, separated, widowed, etc.

Grab this one

Last summer, when I was 100% single, one of my good friends recommended I read this book. "Like, when I'm dating someone?" I asked. "Nope. Read it right now." And I am so glad I did. This book has gone a long way in rewiring and reframing the subtle, selfish way I look at relationships, not just romantic ones. It is a beautifully blunt study in love that never forgets to point back to the One who put that desire for love in our hearts in the first place, God.

Unbelievably relevant.

Unbelievably relevant. The author have taken years of clinical research and synthesized her findings into useful, practical, and poignant information which can be put into practice to help marriages. The first few chapters dealing with damage done in marriage were eye-opening and convicting. But the remaining chapters built hope.

I recommend this

We got this when we got married and it's really challenged us to look at ourselves, words, behaviors, and thought processes in a new light. We're using it in conjunction with marital counseling (opted for doing it after the wedding instead of premarital counseling) and it's been one of the better investments we've ever made. If nothing else, it's given us the opportunity to assign time for ourselves away from work, kids, and everything else that pulls couples' attention away from their partner. I recommend this to all of my married girl friends or ones in serious relationships.
