WAY too vague to pass your A+ exams.

I bought this a couple days before my exam to listen to in the car for a few last minute refreshers.
Thankfully, I studied very thouroughly and passed the Core 1 before buying this book, so I was able to recognize that this book is too vague.
PLEASE do not listen to this and then go take your exams. The A+ is very very detailed and difficult. This book simply does not cover the small details the A+ requires.

Great Study tool but doesn't go into detail!

I like this audio book! I have the full CompTIA A+ book study study but this is great for studying on the go whether your walking, driving, or traveling through the airport. It's also a great refresher! My main method using this book is walking on the treadmill and listen to this book while following along with the PDF. I feel like I retain the knowledge better. It's worth buying as a study guide.

Not what you think it is.

I bought this knowing it wouldn’t have everything I need but wow. It doesn’t even cover surface level knowledge. Imagine the outline you wrote for a high school paper 3 minutes before it was due because you forgot. Now generalize that and imagine how little information you’re getting. That’s what this audiobook is. Just look up Professor Messor on YouTube, it’s a much much better course for this subject.

Just a summary, not very detailed.

Compared to the Professor Messer series on YouTube, this course is very lackluster in details. I'd say nearly a quarter of the time the narrator is talking about the structure of the audiobook and not the actual materials. The test questions and supporting materials that come with the audio are way more valuable than the audio IMO.

absolutely awful

it literally just states the test competencies. like " you will need to know mobile devices" then teach you nothing about it. I want my money back

Very good book for increasing basic IT knowledge

The 100 question final exam at the end is an excellent overview and easy to take repeatedly for ensuring retention.

I’m glad I got this book

I’m glad I got this book. My learning the acronyms, term & analogy and being able to listen to it over and over has been very helpful.

I mainly listen to this book on my way to and from work. although I do have other methods I use to study and I suggest that you do the same.

Outdated

Comptia makes changes to their certification tests every few years & the information in the book is clearly for an older test.

Also it gives you lists of information that you have to learn on your own, instead of teaching you about each technology & concept

Accompanying PDF was helpful though

1/4 of the test, if even.

They talk alot about "aceing" the test if you follow this book, naa mate. maybe Ace 1/4 of the test...maybe.
This books is more like a long briefing.
I liked the quiz's tho, they were good for keep your brain guessing and by gueesing you learn when you hear the answers
