Publisher's Summary

Jim (aka Kid Sensation) counts himself fortunate in that his friends have always been there for him, and he - in turn - tries to be there for them. That’s why it is with a great deal of enthusiasm that he looks forward to attending an event honoring his friend, the teen warlock Kane. However, his plans are immediately complicated by two factors.

First, an emissary from the nigh-omnipotent group of beings known as Incarnates unexpectedly appears on his doorstep. It is an arrival that, while not unwelcome, introduces a certain amount of unpredictability and chaos in his life.

In addition - and of much greater concern - his friendly visit with Kane is utterly derailed by a mysterious and deadly force that attacks randomly…and with murderous intent.

Focused on keeping the body count from rising, Jim quickly realizes that he is dealing with an adversary capable of destroying the entire world - and determined to do so. Even worse, it also becomes apparent to Jim that this enemy is beyond his ken, and even his vaunted super powers may not be enough to avert the global cataclysm that is coming.

I like these books but

I like these book but, it is hard to read right after you read the Super Powered book series. While Kevin puts a lot of work into his plot twist he totally skips out on power utilization. If kid sensation went to the school in super powered he would be unstoppable. But maybe the problem is that he is a jack of all and master of none.

had enough of Electra

this book would have been so much better if Jim would just get over his ex. all she does is jerk him around with her every whim, I'm about done with the series bc I'm tired of her, other than her I really enjoyed this book and will try the next one, just hope hopefully Jim will stop letting her lead him around with a leash like a little puppy dog

Excellent!

An old/new friend shows up just as Jim is heading off to attend a celebration for his Magic using friend Kane. As with most things around Jim, the mystery and mayhem are colossal. Excellent story!

Magical Story

Jim gets to go Magical this time around and I love how Hardman gets the mystery along with the action keeping this my fav superhero stories. Narramore does another excellent job with his narration so making this an easy 5 out of 5 all round.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts.

Magical formula

I loved this book. I have found nobody writes an adventure quite like Kevin Hardman and this book didn't let me down. I was slightly disappointed in the fact that Kid Sensation was off planet again, so most of his friends (the characters we have come to know and love, such as his mentor Mouse, his best friend Smokey and even his on again off again girlfriend Electra) only had small parts to play in the non stop action. Although he wasn't entirely on his own and we were introduced to some new great characters, so the disappointment didn't last to long and I love the story. It was pretty obvious who was behind the creature but I still enjoyed Jim working it out and coming to the same conclusion as I did. And let's face it with a magical world and lots of action it didn't matter. I can't wait for the next book and think in the mean time I might just have to re visit my friends.
Jim's friend Kane is about to be honoured with a ceremony and with so many people attending he is allowed to invite one special friend. Jim's arrival doesn't go down so well, when an unexpected guest hitches a ride and despite everybody's best efforts she is allowed to stay. Then the warlock who opposed her being allowed to stay the strongest, is found not only. dead but ripped apart. It seems someone else with power equal to the incarnate is also resent and this one has a deadly plan that involves destroying the world. Can Jim work out who or what is behind the attacks before somebody else dies or he and his friends are accused? Tension is high anyway, when everybody is in fear for there lives and the most powerful magic won't protect you but it's the perfect time to work out who your friends are.
This is one of my favourite narrator's and even if I didn't love the Kid Sensation series I think I would get the book just to hear him reading it. So it is a double bonus having a great book and a great narrator.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
