Publisher's Summary

One OCD neat freak alien. One human woman. Both are abducted and held captive in a very unsterile environment. What more could go wrong?

Simmi: I’ve broken free and I’ve also freed the human who was held captive with me. But I don’t know where we are, and I don’t know where my home is. The local wildlife may be smaller than I am, and maybe they don't have fangs near as large as mine, but I’m still terrified. My issues with germs—and my uncompromising avoidance of all the things that I’m afraid of coming into contact with—is going to get me killed in this wilderness.

Thankfully, Aurora lets me follow her.

Thankfully, she seems to know the way out of this endless and inhospitable woodland and desert biome.

But by the end of our journey, she’ll suspect she’s harboring a contagion. I have no way to know it, but she’s afraid to tell me. Afraid of how I’ll react once I find out what she’s carrying.

Note: This 40k stand-alone story is intended for listeners 18+ due to romantic elements and adult themes. There is no cheating. There is one really germophobic alien. Thankfully, there's also a really understanding woman who is starting to fall for him.

Spoiler: They're totally gonna have a happily ever after...just as soon as they can get off this planet that’s trying to kill them.

Definitely worth the credit

This is a completely new genre for me, but the cover art was cute so I decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did! This was such a cute story. I loved the relationship between Simi and Aurora and how it seemed to progress naturally. My only complaint is that parts of it seemed rushed. This book could easily have been twice as long with more world building and a more fleshed out story. Essentially I wanted more of the story because I loved it! Simi cracked me up so much. His funny little idiosyncrasies were so endearing and Aurora was so pragmatic and patient with him. I loved the story and will definitely be checking out more books by Amanda Milo.

The narrator was pretty great as well. Sometimes when a male narrator does female voices it’s really cringey but Mr Cracknell pulls it off flawlessly.

So much fun!

Oh I am OCD myself and some of Sim’s concerns are so very valid! I absolutely love this book and reading it actually made me see I might be a little overdramatic

Hilarious

This book was so funny; I love Nick’s narration of characters, he has just the right voice to be a comedian. I have listened to other books by this author and narrator and she didn’t disappoint with this one.

Funny and Romantic

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It is out of my normal genre but the idea of the regular woman navigating the woods, then a town for this Alien with OCD was amusing. I laughed and was happy for the romantic encounters. I loved to hear his descriptions like the chipmunks. Loved it

Absolutely Hilarious!

I rarely write a review unless a story moves me to do so. I usually read the reviews first, before I purchase a book, so after reading the reviews for this book, I was definitely intrigued.

I LOVED this story and while it is the 1st from this author, I plan to read more from her! I share Simmi's OCD "affliction", and I found myself laughing at his reactions! I've had a few myself, so I can definitely relate! The gum and chipmunk scenes were my favorites! LOL! 🤣

Nick did an excellent job with the narration. I highly doubt that anyone else could have brought Simmi to life any better!

FIVE STARS across the board!!

fun quirky alien

I enjoyed this book, and the narrator did a good job bringing the neurotic germophobic alien to life. my only quibble is it sounds like this is the second book based on references to something that previously happened, but it isn't listed as a sequel so I will need to do research to find the previous book.
