Publisher's Summary

Fate knows what they’re doing, right?

Warlock Cornelius is almost 300 and is tired of being alone. When help is needed at a wolf pack out west, he’s quick to go - hopeful he will find his One there.

Matthew is in awe about being in the human realm. Things are so very different than the fae realm he’s from. He was sent to Timber Valley, being told his mate was there, and he’s excited to meet his own sexy shifter. Only his mate isn’t a shifter...

Warlocks and Fae don’t mate with each other. They have an ongoing feud that dates back well over a millennium; to the original warlock and fae. Did fate mix things up?

Cornelius is the first book in the Warlocks of Amherst series. Each book will focus on a different couple and can be listened to as stand-alones but previous couples will make appearances in future books. This book is intended for adults only as it contains a fated mate pair and plenty of magical sexy times that leads to male pregnancy as this is an MPREG story.

Great narration

There was zero passion written, it is about 2 people that are fated and they get pregnant and then go no where the rest of the book. It is literally about a wretched pregnancy. It was the most boring book. I do not recommend and it’s too bad because the idea of it had so much potential.

Wishing for More

I loved the odd pairing; Cornelius and Matthew made an extremely cute couple. However, I found myself wanting more story or depth or something? It had a great idea and backbone, I just wished for more.

Michael Ferraiuolo has to be my favorite narrator. His range of voices and emotion always enhance every reading experience. He knocked it out of the park narrating this novel.

Beautiful

Matthew is absolutely a doll and he might just be my favorite character in this world. Cornelius has been waiting for his One for a very long time and is startled at first when he sees Matthew. But soon enough, these two are moving forward with their relationship and facing any diffuculties as a pair.

Michael Ferraiuolo does a fantastic job of giving each character their own unique voice and expresses the emotions that Taylor Rylan wrote in such a way that you'll feel as if you're standing within the world that was created.

Great narration.

Sadly this is definitely in the return bin. There is no other way to express this, slow and boring. If you are having trouble sleeping, just play this in the background.

well...

I don't know why, but something was off about this whole book.

Here we have a warlock, Cornelius who is helping out a group far away from his coven and Matthew, a fae who just literally walked away from the fae world with the clothes on his back cause I think the fates person told him to. That part was not explained very well. It was also mentioned a lot that fae and warlocks just don't mate.

Anyways, these two spot each other and it's instamates and instalove. Daddy Warlock is over three hundred years old but Matthew is young and has never been with anyone. They figure it out and the young fae gets pregnant immediately.

Daddy Warlock had decided to go back home so after a failed sightseeing tour, end up back there. For some reason, Matthew is really scared of this one warlock but I honestly did not know why until near the end.

Things work out and the baby is birthed through the seam (sidenote, just no. push that sucker out) and everything is all honky dory.

I do not know what was going on with Michael Ferraiuolo's voices here. I am such a fan that I buy unknown writers books just to hear him but the accents were all over the place and what was up with the way Balthazar sounded?

sweet, low angst, and well performed

I bought it because I love this narrator. I was unfamiliar with this author's work and didn't realize this was a spinoff series, but it didn't seem to matter, mostly. It was a very sweet Omega male pregnancy story with absolutely no angst, revolving around the two building their lives together. It was a nice palette cleanser after several anxiety-ending stories I'd previously read, but was kind of low on plot. A nice afternoon listen.

Refreshing

This story was honestly just very refreshing. I always wondered why I couldn't get a story about 2 people just living happy lives and here it is. 2 people just falling in love and wanting to be happy together. Simple, happy, no angst. Just sweetness. And the narrator really helped to for the characters. It's a cute little story with some smexy bits sprinkled in and it's a very refreshing break from all the darkness going on in the wield right now. It's exactly wear I needed.

An amazing series

I won a copy of audiobook 3 of this series in a competition and thought I needed to start at the beginning. So, even though I had read book 1, I bought both books 1 and 2 in audio, and I was not disappointed in the least.

We meet Cornelius, a Warlock, and he wants his one. After being alive for 300 years, he thinks it should be his time.

Matthew, a very young fae, has been told that he will meet his one in the human world and is excited to travel there to meet him.

These characters are so well developed, and the world-building within this series is excellent. I love how the author explains the little bits that help you to imagine the different realms and the differences between the shifters/warlocks and fae.

Although these can be read as stand-alone, I would recommend reading them all as they are excellent reads.

The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo is excellent, although I did speed up the recording on audible to 1.25, which is typical for me.
