Publisher's Summary

"Bellefleur has a droll, distinct voice, and her one-liners zing off the page, striking both the heart and funny bone... There's a sparkling quality here, one that mirrors the starry title. Bellefleur writes as if she's captured fairy lights in a mason jar, twinkly and lovely within something solid yet fragile." (Entertainment Weekly)

Following Written in the Stars and Hang the Moon, Lambda Literary Award winner and national best-selling author Alexandria Bellefleur pens another steamy queer rom-com about former best friends who might be each other's second chance at love....

Margot Cooper doesn’t do relationships. She tried and it blew up in her face, so she’ll stick with casual hookups, thank you very much. But now her entire crew has found "the one" and she’s beginning to feel like a fifth wheel. And then fate (the heartless bitch) intervenes. While touring a wedding venue with her engaged friends, Margot comes face-to-face with Olivia Grant—her childhood friend, her first love, her first...well, everything. It’s been 10 years, but the moment they lock eyes, Margot’s cold, dead heart thumps in her chest.

Olivia must be hallucinating. In the decade since she last saw Margot, her life hasn’t gone exactly as planned. At almost thirty, she’s been married...and divorced. However, a wedding planner job in Seattle means a fresh start and a chance to follow her dreams. Never in a million years did she expect her important new client’s Best Woman would be the one that got away.

When a series of unfortunate events leaves Olivia without a place to stay, Margot offers up her spare room because she’s a Very Good Person. Obviously. It has nothing to do with the fact that Olivia is as beautiful as ever and the sparks between them still make Margot tingle. As they spend time in close quarters, Margot starts to question her no-strings stance. Olivia is everything she’s ever wanted, but Margot let her in once and it ended in disaster. Will history repeat itself or should she count her lucky stars that she gets a second chance with her first love?

Really good!

I don’t know why there were bad comments and thankfully scrolled down to see the good comments on this story and gave it a try. I was not disappointed at all! It was amazing! Some one said there was to much sex and not a lot of storyline, honestly I think they read a different book than this cus it was perfect. And come on there’s never enough steamy sex scenes haha well written and job well done narrated! Probably Will listen again to this one!

80% sex. 10% plot. 10% characters.

Knowing what I know now, I'd give this one a hard pass. It was not horrible... but life is too short. I get it that people have sex — and that the occasional exchange of body fluids can make a story real. But do the math: assess the plot and the characters in this book — and hold those up against its length. I'm sorry. It's all sex. Again, I like sex! I just don't like it instead of an interesting plot and well-developed characters.

My Favorite in the Series

I really liked the first book in the series (Written in the Stars). Enough to listen twice. I enjoyed the second book enough (Hang the Moon). But I LOVED this one! Margo. Olivia. Perfect. And more Of the the cast from the first two. Perfect end to a sweet and fun series.
I think Lauren Sweet was the absolute perfect narrator for this series as well. Icing in the cake. 🥰🥰🥰

Beautiful, sexy and fun!

A chance meeting with a past love carries us into this lesfic romance. The third in the series and just as yummy as the first two. Moments of laughing out loud while I listened then, palm to forehead in others. The author has a great flow with her stories that easily takes you along for the ride. The narrator does a great job with the character voices. 10/10

I wasted my time

So exposition heavy with pointless descriptions of things that don't help build a scene or a story that I found myself skipping whole sections of the book. The side characters were annoying and so hate-able I just skipped any parts where they talked.

The main romance story line is just pointless middle school level drama with a contrived "emergency" near the end so that one character could "make a grand gesture" for resolution. I usually finish books even if I dislike them because it's nice to get the story lines of the characters all wrapped up. I cared so little for any of the characters in this book, I did not finish listening.

Also the narrator sped up and slowed down speaking in a super annoying way. It was not fun to listen to.

A fun ending to this trilogy

I absolutely loved this series and this book. I enjoyed hearing about Margo’s insecurity as she is always the one who is seen as confident in herself. I loved Olivia’s growth over the book as well. This was a bit more steamy than the previous two, but not to a fault. Overall I really enjoyed this book series and the narration by Lauren Sweet!

A nice romance but little surprise

Third in a set of stories spanning the romances of three friends. I haven’t read the first two but didn’t feel like I missed anything as a result. The characters are lovely, and there are several funny one liners. My only complaint is that the romantic obstacle wasn’t really much of an obstacle. But worth the audible credit.

The best romantic story!

I think this is such a good story! Not only gripping but also has many realistic truths about relationships, especially at a young age and the awkwardness of not knowing if a girl is into you the same way
An absolute must read
