Publisher's Summary

For a private investigator on the trail of a missing girl, every second counts in a gripping thriller by New York Times bestselling author T.R. Ragan.

On her first day of kindergarten, five-year-old Tinsley disappeared without a trace...

Five agonizing years later, her divorced mother, Dani Callahan, is a private investigator. She and Quinn Sullivan, a promising young assistant determined to prove herself, are devoted to helping others find missing loved ones. And for Dani, finding Tinsley is still a never-ending obsession.

Their newest case is Ali Cross, a teenager who vanished off a Sacramento street while walking home. A troubled boy’s eyewitness testimony to Ali’s abduction provides their only clues. And as their search for Ali gets underway, new information about Tinsley’s disappearance begins to surface too.

As their investigations lead down two twisting paths, disturbing secrets are revealed and new victims find themselves in mortal danger. Time is running out, and the hunt is only getting grimmer.

No Cliffhanger?!?!

I think this is a first! The first TR Ragan book that does not end with a cliffhanger. This is a really good story about abduction, abuse and murder. This is the story of one man’s history of child abuse and his emergence into adulthood with a very warped view about adult relationships and love.
The other major difference between this book and Ragan’s others is this book wraps everything up in the end and I mean everything. There is not one detail you can say “I wonder what happened to…” because within the final few sentences it’s been handed to you.
Excellent mystery with super narrating by Karen Peakes.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Can't get past gasping narrator

I have no idea if the story is good because the narrator is distracting. She takes a gasping intake of breath before every sentence like the last one took every last drop of air from her. I skipped ahead and this appears to continue. I'm only on the second chapter but this needs to be returned. Hopefully they get a better narrator if the series continues.

Story Good Narrator Not So Much

I liked the story so I roughed through the narrator it was very tough. She kept gasping for air every couple seconds. I found it to be like a water faucet continually dripping or a mosquito buzzing around your ear and you can't stop it. So if you can avoid this book I would not waist a credit on it.

Lots of breathing

The only downside to this recording is the terrible editing when it comes to the narrators breathing. It was extremely distracting while listening to the story. They need to fix it!

Great Story narration was great and bad

Great story but I almost stopped listening because of the narration. Her voice was wonderful, but the constant sucking in air when she read was distracting.

Pretty darn good..

This was a good mystery and was well read by Karen Peakes. I've read most of T.R. Ragan's books and have never disappointed. I always look forward to her newest book.

No romance and the F-bomb was used 6 times.

As for the narration: I absolutely hate female narrators who sound just like a woman when a man is talking. Thankfully, Karen Peakes didn't do that. Her men sounded just like they were supposed to. I would definitely listen to her again.

Great true crime story!

I didn’t have any expectations going into this book. I am a true crime junkie and so I gave this bad boy a chance and I am so glad I did! The pace was perfect and I felt my stomach bottom out many times throughout. The energy was electrifying and I was throughly entertained! I felt that the conclusion was a little too fast and forced, but it was a good ending and things rounded out well.

Count to Three is a great fast pace read

I have loved all of TR Reagan’s books And this one just as much as the others. All of the characters were great, I hope this is going to be another series!! I guessed pretty early what I thought had happened to the daughter, but I still couldn’t stop listening until I found out.

Excellent!

I felt a mix of emotions listening this book. I will follow this author because she did an excellent job. The performance was at the same level of the story. The narrator was amazing. I highly recommend this audiobook. It is totally worthy.

Not bad As an inclusive

Not bad.. Narrator was very breathy and everyone had a sore throat...or so it seemed... plot so full of holes it could be a sieve.. but not too bad as an included
