But now that Ryder and her brother's band, Shaken Dirty, has made it huge, she's just one of many pining for the brooding lead singer. Too bad Ryder still sees her as a little sister. Story
I’m a Gemini. Impulsive. Curious. Headstrong. A twin. Heir to a throne I know nothing about. And it turns out, I’m Fae. But of course, there’s a catch - all I have to do to claim my birthright is prove that I’m the most powerful supernatural in the whole of Solaria. And sure, technically that’s true, as I’m the daughter of the Savage King. But the bit they didn’t put in the brochure was that every single Fae in this Kingdom would claim my throne if they could.

Yesterday I was a teenager waiting tables in Manhattan, and today, monsters exist and I can see them. Overnight I’m thrown into the realm of the Watchers, a society of earthbound angels split into two factions: the Shades, whose powerful dark magic is given to them by the fallen angels, and the Lumens, whose abilities are bestowed on them by the archangels of Avalon. They’re on opposite sides of a brutal war, and I only have a few days to pick which side I want to join. I’m ready to choose when the Shades force my hand by cursing someone I love.

Publisher's Summary
No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don't recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I'm not sure I'll ever break through.
Now war is coming, and we're not ready. We're going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us.
And that's saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.
There's no guarantee that anyone will be left standing when the dust settles, but if we want to save this world, I have no choice. I'll have to embrace every part of me...even the parts I fear the most.

Love/Hate Relationship
*** Spoilers below!!***
Let me start off with saying I loved book one (Crave) so much that I just went ahead and purchased the rest of the audible books and the physical copies THAT DAY so I could devour them asap. So to say that I loved them was an understatement.
Then the problems came. First with the mis-pronouncing of words by narration (that’s an editor/production issue, they should have caught it). I loved the narrator’s voice for the MC so I let it slide. (It happened a few quite noticeable times.) Eh, I let it go. But then as the books progressed I noticed this thing I like to call “roll out the agenda and drag the audience and MC along for the ride.”
By the end of the book I was SCREAMING at Grace (MC) to pull her her out of her bum and ACT like the total god that she us. Quite LITERALLY. Way too much time whining and complaining and doubting and second guessing and NO REAL plans. Does she ASK all of these amazing elders around her? No she just wings it. Use your elders, lady!!!! Augh!!!!!!!
It’s cringeworthy at best.
Lastly on the agenda, is the agenda. Look, I am all for an inclusive cast of characters but what this author did the ENTIRE novel was “HOW MANY LGBTQIA relationships can I throw in here?!? It felt weird and forced. It felt weird and like every character was meant to fit in one of these groups. Super forced. At that point it felt less like inclusion and more like a quota and that isn’t honoring anyone. It felt like we were just watching people being thrown together because they were both both. (I’m be annoyed it this was with hetero people at the end of the story too. So weird! What gives?)

Cringe worthy, at best
I hate that I am unable to walk away from a series. This one did not deserve the amount of time I devoted. I foolishly hoped that the repetition of cheesy cliches and predictable plot would have improved after 4 books. So frustrating.

I'm mad the author makes Jax gay!
i am PISSED ! I love all the books but grace can be very selfish sometimes and I wish there could be more sexual activities its very pg13 throughout all the books 📚. I don't like the fact that the author makes Jaxon gay when it just makes no sense to me. it's very disturbing in so many ways I just can't but I will finish this book and see how it turns out but so far it's alright!! Very entertaining tho!!🤔

To Court We Go
So I loved that 95% of my questions have been answered. I’m eager for Charm to come out this summer to fill in those gaps. I love this world that Tracy has created and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
My only complaint is the pronoun used for one character. While I am all for people expressing themselves and such. The use of the they/them pronouns made listening to it harder to figure out who was doing what actions or conversations. I know I associate they/them with plural so it was a challenge for me to decipher.

Very difficult to finish this book when the previous books in the series were so good. This book tried to keep up with them, but fell short. Constantly repeating itself and using bad grammar. Loved the overall book series though. Very pure hearted and a wonderful supernatural story line.

Fun story, awful accents, too much explaining
I almost abandoned the first book, which I rarely do, because it was way too 'damsel in distress' - it revolved around an unhealthy relationship. But then at the very end the actual story got interesting and I continued reading, relationship stuff got better, and the story got more complex. It's a fun listen as I'm doing things around the house.
Book 4 is the first I'm listening to, and wow... painful. The male narrator is especially cringe - SO hammy, and his British accent isn't even passable. Fortunately he wasn't the main narrator, but I'm sorry to say she wasn't much better. I also don't think the "Britishisms" always rang true as written, either. One example: shite. I listen to a lot of British podcasters and they rarely say "shite" (they say SHIT), yet Hudson does it ALL THE TIME. It's grating. It would be so easy to get a Brit to proof-read that stuff, I can't believe we're through 4 books and it's still an issue. Also should be pretty easy to get a British voice actor for the TWO CHAPTERS that should sound legitimately British... come on.
Lastly, Grace needs to stop over-explaining things. And can we bring in some adults to act like adults? I know it's YA and all, but don't you think these teenagers would get some much needed help/guidance from the many skilled adults around them? Since when do people not consult with the people they know who definitely know things and want to help them?
Also let's stop it with the "emotions are weakness" bullshit. It almost seems sometimes like the characters are recognizing that emotional vulnerability is a strength, and then it feels like we regress right back to "let's bottle it up, folks! Feeling is for dummies" 🙄

Not a great heroine tale
I enjoyed the first several books of this series and was excited for the release of Court. I’m disappointed. It’s not often we find such interesting heroines as Grave Foster and I really felt this book did her a disservice. Instead of being the strong capable leader she could have been she was overly apologetic and unsupported by literally everyone but her peers. It was strange to see a trope often seen in horror fiction used in this way and was just frustrating as a reader.
If Grace with all her power and authority can’t be confident in her choices what does that say to others who don’t have that power?
Tracy Wolff is an entertaining writer but this book was disappointing at best.

Navel gazing and horrific accents
I really want to understand how this author wrote such a great first book, for the next three to go so downhill. I loved the first book and the relationship between Jackson and naive Grace, it was was told so well, I could even get onboard with the return of Hudson and the fact that he was supposed to be her ‘mate’. But there were so many things about this audio book and the story in general that irritated the life out of me!!
If you are going to employ American actors to voice characters with English accents, please find some that have actually listened to an English person speak. It was painful and cringeworthy to hear both the female and male lead actors use the wrong pronunciations especially in swear words, it’s wankers, not wonkers and the use of fook instead using the ‘uh’ sound had me yelling at my phone! Also, the inclusion without explanation of a non binary shape shifting wolf was also jarring with the use of ‘they’ ‘them’ pronouns to describe one person doesn’t make sense in the real world, let alone in this context almost had me giving up half way through.
Ultimately the story was boring, and could have been so much more without the constant navel gazing that Grace did… ‘My mate this, my mate that… my family of friends… and the constant naming of what felt like a hundred friends.
I got to chapter 177 and finally gave up, because I just couldn’t stand a minute more of the male actors terrible accent. Sadly, I don’t know how it ended or if there is another a book, and at this point I have zero desire to find out.
