Story
On a cool June evening in 2009, after performing a concert at London's Royal Academy of Music, 20-year-old American flautist Edwin Rist boarded a train for a suburban outpost of the British Museum of Natural History. Home to one of the largest ornithological collections in the world, the Tring museum was full of rare bird specimens whose gorgeous feathers were worth staggering amounts of money to the men who shared Edwin's obsession: the Victorian art of salmon fly-tying. Once inside the museum, the champion fly-tier grabbed hundreds of bird skins - some collected 150 years earlier.

Story
Island of the Blue Dolphins is the remarkable story of a strange and beautiful Indian girl who lives a serene and courageous life as the solitary survivor on an island off the California coast. Left behind when the rest of her tribe fled, she waits, year after year, for a ship to come for her. She fights for her very survival, building a shelter, hunting for food, and making weapons to stave off her enemies, the wild dogs who took her brother.

Story
The following three tales are adapted from stories told by the American Indians. These are three of my favorite coyote stories. They are: "The Story of Coyote, Buffalo, and the Rock", told by the Sioux, a tribe from the Northwest, where they once formed the Great Sioux Nation, in the area that later became the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Montana, and Wyoming.
Publisher's Summary
In his introduction to Coyote &, Joe Hayes says, “Many American Indian stories are sacred. They are part of the religion of the people who tell them, and so belong to just one tribe or sometimes just a part of the tribe. Sometimes Coyote plays a role in these religious stories. But the coyote stories in this collection are different. They are told for entertainment. They are especially loved by children, who delight in Coyote’s foolish antics.”

Could've been beter...
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
There wasn't anything wrong with the book itself, but the narrators' performance was lousy.
His character voices, and expressions were horrible.
What could Joe Hayes have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Call in sick, so producers hire a new narrator.
How could the performance have been better?
ACTING LESSONS!!!!!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I removed one of my shoes at a red light, and beat the heck out of the radio.
Any additional comments?
Nope.
