Incredible Story and Narratation

The dark somnioum is a well known narrator and he doesn't dissapoint. Hooked me in and the 11+ hours flew by. If you enjoyed the longer stories including left right game this is right up your ally. In regards to the story it was captivating give it a listen you won't regret.

Now that I've finished this story I honestly don't know what I'll do 😂

Great Narration

Easily one of my new favorite stories, the late 1800's setting along with the superb narration and sound design made this story that much more memorable and intriguing. I only wish it could be longer at this point because of how much I liked it. Will definitely keep an eye out for more from this Narrator

surprising story

When the story started, I was getting major Dark Tower vibes. Male Protagonist, having walked countless miles with a mysterious goal stumbles onto a farm, and relies on the kindness of strangers.

The author and I share a mutual discord channel, so part of me expected a supernatural story, and I'm glad for the direction this one went to

The tale is as desolate as the setting, the connection equally as barren. We go on this journey with Orson, as oblivious to the ending as he.

Visceral, beautiful, and gruesome. I am so glad for the connections made that lead me to this book 💚💚💚💚 Misters Nelson and Dickison worked well in bringing life to this book.

My only complaint is my brain could not focus enough to keep track of all the perspective changes. When the party interacted, there were several to keep track of, and one could be privy to any of their thoughts at any second. But that is more of a, "I can't pay attention enough to listen to this any slower," problem, and not a fault of Mr. Nelson's.

Honestly I would never have picked up this book without having the connections I did. All the Pretty Horses was required reading in AP English, and my family had read The Dark Tower series, and I wanted to before the movie came out. I don't gravitate to western styles. Now I'm beginning to rethink that decision.

Thank you for this tale. It will be bouncing around my brain for weeks to come.

Excellent Narration and captivating story

Aside from Dark Somniums Narration skills and effects, story was surprisingly immersive. only complaint I have is the lack of music as his other narrations have, tho I can understand on this specific case not having it. I will be looking forward for future releases. 10/10

a bit slow.

editing was a bit sloppy. it will repeat the first 3 words several times throughout the story. and giving only the last names causes you to not really follow. there was a serious issue when there seemed to go back and forth in time line. which was wildly confusing for 15 minutes. there needs to a repeat of the year/time/setting so that way we can have a marker

An immersive masterpiece

This is definitely not the type of book I would pick up off a shelf to read, but I am familiar with the narrator and thus was compelled to listen to this.
I am SO glad I did, as this was such a beautiful story. I was trying my best not to binge listen but I just couldn’t help myself, every chance I had I was listening to Coyote. I recommend this to everyone who enjoys a good story about life, and the trials we may face in it. This was a captivating story, that was narrated beautifully. Both M.J and Ronald are clearly masters of their craft and their talents blended beautifully in this work of art.
Like I said, the setting of the book and timeline isn’t normally what I like to read, but I could not stop listening to this.
All I can say is that I’m sad it’s finished :c
Can’t wait to hear more from both of these talents! (Renewed my audible subscription solely to listen to this book and it was VERY worth it) Thankyou both for your efforts and hard work!
