Publisher's Summary

Andi Morgan is a strong, smart, and independent woman, thanks to the help of a famous boxing trainer, Mack, and his protégé, Shane, who have respectively been like a father and brother to her. But that wasn't always the case. Andi never knew what a "normal" life was like. Having been raised in foster care from the age of six after the death of her parents, Andi became emancipated at 16 after an especially horrible incident forced her into a psychiatric hospital.

Luke Woods, the family black sheep and street-brawler, is determined to be a successful professional boxer despite his family's protests. He needs Andi's help to get there. The wedge between him and his family over his past relationship issues and career choices is not easily overcome. Luke must learn to face the past mistakes, fears, and demons that constantly plague him.

Fireworks and passions quickly ignite between Andi and Luke in the midst of the chaos that surrounds and threatens them. She never revealed the secrets and lies that have plagued her, but when she publicly inherits her family fortune, the living, breathing past comes back to torment her and threaten all that she holds dear. For the first time in her life, Andi must learn to rely on someone else to love and protect her or risk losing the man she loves.

Sometimes, love isn't enough. Sometimes, it's all you need.

Credit worthy

Andi is an incredibly independent and self reliant woman. Luke is trying to make it in the ring. Together there are lies, secrets, misunderstandings and a whole lot of sexual tension.

I really loved Andi. What she has overcome from her past and how she still can have the confidence and self assuredness to live her life the way she does, she is an impressive character! Luke, although totally hot, angered me about 70% of the book. From him not being able to just admit out loud what he wanted and then choosing others ahead of Andi... I just thought he was kind of a "momma's boy" type that needed to grow a pair of balls.

The chemistry between Luke and Andi was electrifying! When Luke finally came to his senses and they finally were together, they had incredible chemistry and I loved it. The story was so engaging and entertaining. I had a hard time turning it off! I am heading right to book 2 to continue the story.

Kelley Madison and Morgan Greenfield did an awesome job narrating. I kind of got the feeling that they are both a little green and inexperienced but there was enough natural talent that I really enjoyed their performances. I'm positive that every book they do will get them closer and closer to a 5 star review.

Just don’t

I can’t even start to tell you what happen in this story. The hero of the story goes from wanting to be a boxer with his parents mad cause he didn’t go into the family business of real estate to being a dang doctor. Wait what??? The chick goes from working at the gym to working with kids to being a lawyer to a talent agent and in her extra time she sings all at the age of 26. Way too much going on.

horrible. feom narration to writing

there was no character decelopment. and the scenes kept switching, it was hard to determine what was happening next. then there was the narration. Morgan Greenfield was great. Kelly Madison was awful. the tone in her voice was the same for all characters, except for the grandma who sounded like a 40 hear old, not 60 year old. i mean, she made the men sound like 10 year old boys talking about sex and beer. she has to work on her pitch and not just "read" whats in front of her. epic fail for her and i will add her name to the list of narrators i avoid like the plague.
the book was poorly written, felt like a couple of high schoolers in a budding relationship. soooo bad.

Awesome

What an awesome story. I was so touched by the story itself. I cried, laughed and got hot and bothered at all the appropriate times. Can't wait for the next story!!!
