Publisher's Summary

In this exhilarating new thriller from number one New York Times best-selling author Stuart Woods, Stone Barrington goes up against an enemy on the run.

After a dangerous adventure has him traveling up and down the coast, Stone Barrington is looking forward to some down time at his Manhattan abode. But when an acquaintance alerts him to a hinky plot being hatched across the city, he finds himself eager to pursue justice.

After the mastermind behind it all proves more evasive than anyone was expecting, Stone sets out on an international chase to places he's never gone before. With the help of old friends - and alluring new ones - Stone is determined to see the pursuit through to the end, even if it means going up against a foe more unpredictable than he has ever faced....

Done with Stuart Woods

Too much sex and too much anti-conservative. I've read or listened to all Stuart Woods books up until now but the story is predictable and I'm sick of all the anti-Fox news comments. Up until now I've dealt with it but this book was too much .Bye

Why???

I have no idea why I can't stop buying these Stone Barrington books. They used to be enjoyable but now Stuart Woods is just phoning it in. Lazy story lines and plots are the norm in the last few years. I am not a prude but I am very turned off by the gratuitous sex. Every woman that crosses Stone's path instantly wants him and he obliges. Boring and predictable, as well as disgusting. I listen on Audible and the most enjoyable part is Tony Roberts' narration. Will I buy the next one and the one after that? Yes. I'm weird.

Dull and boring

I haven read every book in the series. Unfortunately they are getting progressively worse. I am afraid this may be my last one purchased.

Again, I've been let down by Stone Barrington.

Stone Barrington's character keeps getting dumber and dumber....he gives a woman he just met his home's alarm code, he vouches for another new acquaintance's personal check for a Bentley. Then he takes off half cocked chasing an investment fugitive for the reward money.

Truly, that's the whole story. No surprise turn or characters. No interesting event where his life was briefly in danger. Nothing but my dashed hope that it would get better kept me plowing through.

I understand why Holly and Felicity have dumped him.

Sadly disappointed!

Story was not normal Stuart Woods quality. As much as I admire Stone's antics this was pretty much a porn book. Story was a snoozer. Sadly disappointed.

Too absurd

The stories are getting more and more unrealistic! Supposedly brilliant guy gets taken in by every strange woman he meets. And then he saves the world. Absurd. Go back to good mysteries please.

Disappointing

I was so disappointed to read this long awaited release. It lacks imagination and adventure. I particularly missed the witty repartee and well developed characters.
The pace was plodding and void of surprises. Perhaps I over anticipated? No that’s not it.

Painful to get through.

Too much eating and drinking and sex and not enough action. A long with drawn out story that went on and on and on..got tired of listening again about eating and drinking and Sex. Unrealistic crap about traveling
