Publisher's Summary

I trusted a shifter with my virginity. Until he got me pregnant. Then he rejected me as his mate.

I was young and naive when I fell hard for bad boy Grizz, a shifter who was hot enough to melt my good girl heart. Big mistake. Because when good girls are naughty, they end up pregnant.

Now I’m back in Forest Heights to care for my aunt with my son Rainer — the son I’ve been raising on my own for nine years because gruff, tough Grizz didn’t believe our baby was possible.

But Rainer is living proof that shifters and humans can have babies, and now he’s showing signs of growing up to be just like his daddy. When Grizz realizes Rainer is his, he says he wants to get to know him. And the problem is, I’ll do anything for my son.

Except open my heart to Grizz again. I won't be rejected twice. And it's far too dangerous, especially when a rival biker gang has their sights set on his patch of turf....

Pretty good

I liked it. Was a cute story with just a little angst but not too much. Good listen especially when cleaning. :)

Uhhh.. nope

I really liked the premise of this story and had hoped it would be an epic get back together story. It fizzled. The ML is a loser and never really properly apologizes for ripping the FL heart out and stomping on it… he’s a better man years later but the author has the FL acting all angry at him in a few scenes and he doesn’t really grovel… and then all the sudden she’s moved in with him and all is forgiven. Then he disrespects her again and again she just rolls over. But what really got me is the drama with the kid. The FL is supposed to be this big protective mama bear but then she just all of the sudden ok with leaving her kiddo with a biker gang… then acts all surprised and angry when he gets hurt but turns RIGHT back around and is telling the ML she loves him and forgives him… even though it’s his fault kiddo is in trouble and still without kidnapped kid being rescued… Nope nope nope. Coming from a self proclaimed mama bear… she should have gotten her kiddo back then burned it all to the ground and gotten him outta there. I just ended up hating both leads by the end because of the way it was written.

I loved the story but…

I loved it but why did you use the name Tack and Chaos for the bad guys. It made me think of a Kristen Ashley hero and his guys. They were total opposites. Idk, it just threw me and ended up dropping my star rating. Maybe you we’re paying homage, but that rubbed me wrong. Other than that, I enjoy the book.

Good, but could've been better...

First let me say, this story was enjoyable, but it lacked depth. It could've used more development in the areas of character, background, and plot. I love a shifter story where the shifters are not known to the general public. This story takes place with the shifters and humans living amongst each other and I wanted to know how did that come to be. Also, the narrator for Grizz was okay, but the transition to other male characters was not pleasant. The female narrator was a bit better, but her whispery voice made some of the parts unbelievable. The plot was great, however I needed more development in how this rivalry started, including some of the back story on Wreck and how he become involved. It did intrigue me enough to grab book 2 because I loved Kim's character and want to see where her story goes. I'm giving this a 3.75 because I do see the potential for this series and the author is doing just enough to keep me interested.

Love it!!!

Roxie Ray has out done herself once again!!! I love her series and can't wait for story 2 of this series. I'm not gonna give away any spoilers but this is a good story from start to finish. It gives you indepth background stories of the characters. It also has a alpha ready to save his family. This is definitely worth a credit if you like shifter stories

shame

narrators where droning on and made the whole thing dull I got a quarter the way through and couldn't take anymore I can normally deal with a poor narration if the story's good but I couldn't like it no matter how hard I tried
