Stoicism is an active philosophy. That means that it is not enough to know its doctrines; one must also live them and develop habits that expand on and complete their ideas in practice. Practice, therefore, is also the focus of this audiobook, as well as the development of the listener's inner and outer lives, that they may follow their own path and discover what it means to “live life in accordance with nature”. Story
Almost every religion, spiritual practice, philosophy and person grapples with fear. The most repeated phrase in the Bible is “Be not afraid.” The ancient Greeks spoke of phobos, panic and terror. It is natural to feel fear, the Stoics believed, but it cannot rule you. Courage, then, is the ability to rise above fear, to do what’s right, to do what’s needed, to do what is true. And so it rests at the heart of the works of Marcus Aurelius, Aristotle, and CS Lewis, alongside temperance, justice, and wisdom.

Stoicism, one of the oldest Western philosophical schools, has enchanted scholars and the general public alike for over 2,000 years. Where some accounts of human nature and the particularly human good fall short by the reduction of human being to physical or psychical phenomena, Stoicism's power lies in engaging with the whole range of human experience, addressing rationality, emotion, piety, will, and both inner and outer impressions, each on their own terms, in language that treats each as significant in its own right.

It gave me key principles on Stoicism, valuable approaches and techniques to continue searching and building a better way to live. Succinct and inspiring..
The book touched on the most important parts of Stoicism. It explained them clearly and concisely. The author gives a brief history of Stoicism, goes through some of the basic principles, then outlines how he applies this to his everyday life. I think this book did a fabulous job at explaining Stoic philosophy in a reasonably brief manner while giving practical tips on how to apply it to your own life every day.

Practicing Stoicism Daily
I find it funny sometimes how when I'm going through something the very question is about what I'm going through. And of course, many people—Stoic or otherwise—have fallen in love with and dedicated themselves to morning or evening journalism in the centuries since. And for good reason—it works. It clarifies the mind, provides room for quiet, private reflection and gives one a record of their thoughts over time. It is thought provoking, and despite having a collection of guided journals, I find this completely unique.

serves as a reflection
The Daily Stoic isn’t simply a book to make me think, it’s an action guide, a “prescription for handling ourselves and our actions in the world. This book serves as a constant reminder to slow down and take some time to really focus on the most important things. Nurture what you are good at and you shall succeed. It's very simple and straight-to-the-point at the end of each chapter for reflection. The author is clearly a smart, logical individual who thinks carefully about what he says and explains what it is like to put his advice into practice. An amazing book which you will not regret to purchase!

explains the ancient history
The book offers an introduction into stoicism, explains the history and the key thinkers behind the philosophy in case you want to investigate a little deeper in the future. The author summarizes a brief and clearly manner that we can learn from the principal Roman Stoic philosophers. The author deserves my utter praise for producing a book that brings to us all of the major stoic/ancient teachings and principles together in one brilliantly work. It sets out to remind us of how unpredictable the world can be. How brief our moment of life is. How to be steadfast, and strong, and in control of yourself.

the differences between indifferent to others
"never attribute to malice what can easily be attributed to stupidity" Meaning that most of the bad things people do are not done out of evil, but simple incompetence. Not everyone is as well- educated as you, not everyone was raised to be responsible like you were, not everyone is as talented as you, and it is in this gap that you can find the explanations to most errors, most bad driving, most the litter you see on the street, and most wrongs you feel have been done to you.

Brain Storming Activities
There is a part on this audiobook that really gave focus and made my self more Positive and saying to my self that its Yes! That’s right. On the part that narrator saying that "don’t said that you just read the books say it and show how it works and learned". I amazed on this lines, that showed the reality of life means that it doesn't how you been intelligent in the school, how you have great achievements during your early ages., the question is? have you been happy and enjoyed? did you really inspired of it reason of whom you are of today., In those thoughts it opens the mind of the listener that it doesn't matter how you saying that you knew a lot of things but you didn't know how to work and make it happen by your hands.
