Story
Ava loves city life, but when something happens to make her feel unsafe, she retreats to the calm and quiet of Bluebell Wood. The once high-flying Ava now locks herself away in her fairy-tale cottage, only leaving to explore the trails of the nearby woods or to potter in the garden with her dog, Merlin. When Ava begins to feed the wild birds that flock to her bird table, they start leaving her trinkets of appreciation in return. The gifts seem innocent at first, but they soon take on a deeper meaning.

Sandybridge is the perfect English seaside town: home to gift shops, tearooms and a fabulous fish and chip shop. And it's home to Grace - although right now she's not too happy about it. Grace grew up in Sandybridge, helping her parents sort junk from vintage treasures, but she always longed to escape to a bigger world. And she made it, travelling the world for her job, falling in love and starting a family. So why is she back in the tiny seaside town she'd long left behind, hanging out with Charlie, the boy who became her best friend when they were teenagers?

Beautiful ,
This is truly a beautiful story o f love and friendship and believing there is more to life than the losses we experience. I recently lost my husband, mother and step sitister. Having already lost my beautiful daughter and alll grandparents., I know what loss in a very signigicant way. This shattered me and then reassured me at the same time. The narration was wonderful. I look forward to expericening more books from this author.

Lovely heartwarming tale
A truly heartwarming and lovely book. I chose the book because it sounded like an interesting story about someone inheriting and restoring an old VW Camper van. What I got was an inspiring story of loss, love, friendships and a blossoming relationship.
I immediately warmed to the wild boy mechanic the warmth of the village of St Felix and the hidden mystery in the book. The growing love story was a little predictable but the unexpected twist in the story, and who was really helping Anna and Noah, was a surprise almost to the end.
A really beautiful story. It's left me feeling that everything happens for a reason and to look for the unexpected. Already looking for my next Ali McNamara book.

Started well
I was hopeful with this book and enjoyed the initial part of it, up until it began to throw up questions about one of the characters. It was at this point I began to lose interest as I’m not really into spiritual characters that don’t actually exist. It’s a lovely story and the descriptions of Cornwall are beautiful but the storyline which started well became too far fetched for me.. the narrative reading voice was a little twee and they made the main character sound naive which was in contrast to how she described herself later on.

Delightful
The narrator was amazing and made the characters realistic and believable, I was drawn in from the very first chapter. I loved the story line as it was played out and developed as the chapters unfolded.
I enjoyed the style of writing which was ‘real’ and flowed from one character to the other seamlessly.
An easy listen which finished all to soon.
