Publisher's Summary

Wall Street Journal best-selling author Nicole Snow returns with a hysterical office romance where the grumpiest boss claims the good girl and loses his scorched heart.

Our meet cute was one big sip of ugly.

He pushed my hell-no buttons, wearing an indestructible smirk.

I offended his warped morals in front of his starry-eyed minions.

Then I got my sweet reward for doing the right thing.

I found out I'd be calling Roland Osprey “boss”.

A filthy rich tabloid king. Emphasis on filthy.

A gorgeous villain who sold his soul - if he ever had one.

A tyrant who stole my sensitive, uplifting music magazine.

Welcome to my bait-and-switch.

Apparently, disasters come in threes.

His perfect vests that leave me delirious.

The way he stares at my lips - painted for torment with an arsenal of lipstick.

Our shared love for sad songs that makes me cry.

So does the big fat secret assignment he drops on my head.

I hate that he has a good cause.

I wish I could hate the wicked ways he makes me feel divine.

When my guard slips, I'm in free fall.

One all-consuming kiss in an alley seals our epic mistake.

How many times can one damaged grump make me sing the blues?

How do you ever fall out of love with the bad guy?

Full-length enemies-to-lovers romance doused in biting words and sizzling slow-burn tension. The worst boss ever finds his missing piece in the woman who loathes him - and an unlikely happily ever after worth all the lumps to the heart.

Snoopy

I loved this book, and the build up to Roland's story in the series, and it didn't disappoint. His nicknames for Callie were perfect given the reasons from the beginning and Sebastián nails his character just as Savannah does for Callie. The attraction was off the charts even if Callie was in denial at first. The slow burn till that first night when they gave in to their desire was smoking hot. I have no doubt I'll be listening to this series again in the next 6 months. Its that good.

Found a new author

I really liked this story and will be looking into more stories from Nicole Snow. The only thing I don’t are for is when Savannah Peachwood narrates in a male voice (she does fine as a female lead).

Meh

This was about 5 hours too long. The plot was good, just way too much inner dialogue.

To much of the female narrator

I got bored really quickly of the female narrator trying to be passionate as a male which just fell flat. Doubly annoying since the female was the main narrator in this one There was too little of Sebastian York as the male which would have made the story less annoying.

Beautiful ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

So much pain these two have been through. Somehow they find common ground and start to heal each other. A bit of a road hump in the middle . They shine again. Sebastian and Savannah do a brilliant job bringing this story to life ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
