Publisher's Summary

Vampire hunter Anita Blake leaps into uncharted territory in the all-new novella from number-one New York Times best-selling author Laurell K. Hamilton.

For most people, summer barbecues are nothing to be afraid of. But Anita isn't exactly plain vanilla - and neither is her love life. So it takes a special kind of courage to attend a barbecue thrown by her friend Sergeant Zerbrowski. Walking into a backyard full of cops and their families with were-leopards Micah and Nathaniel both looking gorgeous on her arm won’t be easy, even with almost-four-year-old Matthew Vespucci to break the ice....

Anita is determined to have a good time with her family, just like everyone else. But it doesn't take long for tensions to rise among the adults and kids. And Anita will learn that gossip and innuendo can be just as dangerous as anything the undead can throw at her....

Wholesome

see this is the type of one shot that I like to listen to/read. it may not affect overall story, but it's a nice little mini book. Unlike the other one where was just another sex scene.

A smile from ear to ear

LOVED LOVED LOVED!! this was fantastic lil novella ( short story ) it was great seeing into the everyday of Anita and her men that don't include all the metaphysical I loved it that you included the Zabrowski Family and at the end I realized what Anita was getting at and why this book is called DANCE ... I'm not going to spoil it for others but it's a great little in-between the fast pace life of Anita where she gets to slow down and live life with some of the men she loves with friends she loves

Dancing

A novel to help tide you over until the next delicious novel. I really enjoy these. Horror is not for everyone but if it’s your cup of tea may you enjoy this quick sip. Fun in the same vein as Sucker Punch.

Wonderful Lighter Story

The story begins with teaching tolerance to youngsters, and the consequences of lying. Very soon Nathaniel gets his time in the limelight when he talks Katie Zerbrowski into putting on some of her daughter's ballet music. What follows makes a lovely evening for all ages.

A nice switch up. :)

a very pleasant surprise and switch up to the usual story line.
Still Anita, still the boys, but a nice simple change of pace for them. Even they have to have a day of normalcy, right?
