Fascinating study but an awful lot of detail
I really enjoyed this book overall because it looks at classical music in the 20th century from a political perspective. The book is appealing to both musicians and historians. Once in a while I felt that there was more detail than I really needed, but the book is certainly well researched and thorough.

Great book, disappointing narration
Rosenberg has meticulously researched his material and presented it in a well written and accessible manner.
The narrator's German pronunciations are elementary. In addition, he once pronounced Haydn as "Hayden" and pronounced the name of Yehudi Menuhin in several ways.
