Absolutely amazing!

☆☆☆☆☆
Dark Exodus was an incredible, thrilling, and pulse-pounding read. It was much more action packed than Original Sin. In it, the author brings us back into the unique world of the Amish Vampires.
At the end of Original Sin, Larissa ran from her abusive, immortal, vampire husband, Silas. As this book begins, Bishop King, head of The Order, has taken on the task of finding her. He is the oldest and most powerful immortal in The Order. He has his own reasons for finding her apart from protecting her from Silas, who is already planning her punishment when she’s found. So much goes on within the pages of this book. Aside from Larissa’s story, there is a monster killing women in the forests but Kane struggles to get The Order to believe him regarding who he feels is responsible. The final plot consists of secrets being kept in the home of Larissa, Adam and Kane's parents. Who will survive when all three stories reach their climaxes?
This story kept me fully engaged from start to finish. My pulse raced and my adrenaline pumped as I hung off the edge of my seat. I listened to this audiobook and Lucinda Gainey did a truly phenomenal job. During one scene, where she voiced the monster in the woods, she freaked me out with how scary she sounded. I loved hearing her voice all the different characters. I am so excited for the next book in this series! I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This story keeps getting better!

Dark Exodus is book 2 in The Order of Vampires series. This paranormal read kept my attention until the end. I enjoyed the continuation of these characters. We get Larissa, and her abusive husband Silus but what we didn’t expect was for her to find her other soul in an unlikely ally. This book had the drama, interesting plot and steam. Narrator did another good job. Can’t wait for book 3!

Lucinda Gainey is amazing telling this story!

Dane and his younger sister Sybil are camping with their mom and he is loves hearing his sister's laughter as she tosses marshmallows his way. When they hear a noise they look up expecting their mother to be returning from gathering wood, but there is something large with glowing red eyes watching them. He's a man, but not man. Huge with fangs and glowing red eyes with filth covering him. And then they watch in horror as it drops their bloody lifeless mother on the ground and disappears.

Larissa has had enough of the abuse of her husband Silus and sneaks away under the cover of night. The husband has complete control of the household and can do anything he wishes unless it breaks the laws of their Order. All she has known is the Amish way of life, but she finds a job working as a dancer and it fills her heart with joy even though the clothes are non-existent and she's expected to give lap dances to special clients. But, these are her choices not choices forced on her after being practically sold like cattle to her husband.

Silus goes before the council to get their approval so he can hunt down his wife, but Bishop King denies his request and tells the council he himself will go after Larissa. But what Eliaser King doesn't tell anyone is that he has been called...and Larissa is his God promised mate.

I loved this audiobook! Lucinda Gainey continues telling this amazing story of immortals who live in plain sight in the Amish community to protect their kind. This story is told in at least six different POVs and has multiple storylines going on within the one, but Lucinda Gainey is wonderful at not only telling the story but transitioning into each character.

This book is action-packed and full of danger and intrigue from word one. I have read Lydia Michaels contemporary romances, but this genre is definitely her wheelhouse! This series is full of layers involving multiple members of this community as they are called to find their mates (even if it breaks their hearts) knowing if they don't answer the call they will lose all their humanity as they turn full fae vampire doomed to live a life of madness.

This story is steamy hot and full of suspense as we are led on a dangerous journey looking for a savage murderer who endangers their kind more than the women that are brutally assaulted and murdered. The cliffhanger of this book is major as it has dangerous implications for more than one person. Can't wait to see what happens in the conclusion of this series!

Highly recommend this series!!!

Several storylines

What better place than an Amish farm for Immortals to stay out of the lime light.

This book has several storylines and it can get a bit confusing which POV we have.
I think the characters are interesting.

Holy wow!!! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

I received an audio copy of this book and I was even more blown away with Dark Exodus than I was with Original Sin!! First, the narrator did a wonderful job keeping me at the edge of my seat ... and away from my bed. I couldn't stop listening!! I'll warn you... it's 12 hrs long. But it's 12 hours of amazing story about Amish Vampires. Totally irresistible!!

The book continues on from the first book. But there is sooooo much more that happens in this book. You have to read or listen to understand. All I have to say is.... WOW!!!! absolutely fabulous job!! I totally give this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!

I recieved an ALC for my honest review.

Amish Vampires

AMISH ROMANCE, automatic NOO. BUUTTT, Amish Vampire Romance with ✨ SPICE ✨ YEESSSS. This was such a interesting series that again, leaves in a bit of a cliffhanger, Plot wise; the Couple in this book has a HEA. The series needs to be read in order.

Larissa has been on the run leaving the Amish because of her abusive husband in an arranged marriage the Amish/Council agreed to, we briefly met her in book one who is Adam’s sister and then we have The Bishop aka Eleazar who is part of The Council but also a 500 year old vampire.

The Bishop agrees to Larissa’s husband to search and find her, in which he does but when he does. There’s SHOCKING NEWS- that honestly I saw coming lmao but I was still shocked. I loved that it has different POVS that I’m actually apart of the world Lydia Micheals created.

Excellent continuation to The Order of Vampires!!

Dark Exodus, an Audiobook by Lydia Michaels is book 2 in The Order of Vampires series! This series is sooo unusual, engrossing, and absorbing!! This story simultaneously follows Larissa, Silus, and Bishop King (Eliazar)….as well as another couple who are being torn apart by duty and the call.

Even MORE engrossing than book 1….full of exciting twists and turns….and some VERY UNEXPECTED situations! Some couples situations are heartbreaking, some full of hope and promise!!! But, all will have you completely captivated!!! Ends in a major cliffhanger!!!

This story is GORGEOUSLY narrated by Lucinda Gainey, who deep, throaty voice added a lot to the story! She ‘changed’ a couple of the voices later in the performance, which threw me a bit…but, overall an excellent job!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this Audiobook.

Steamy, mysterious, thrilling.

Book one introduces you to their world. Book two you delve deeper. Get to know more characters with multiple POVs. It gives such a wider perspective of the story. Thrilling you on all fronts. It’s steamy. The story weaving a web of mystery. Kept me on the edge of my seat.

The narrator does a good job of giving each character a unique voice. She pulled me in and made it all the more fun.

Dark Exodus

After Original Sin I just needed to listen to this book too.

I really like that it's not just the story of one couple, because we dive in to the stories of a few different people and met some of them already in book 1.

Great narration and great written story.

Amazing story!

This series is just so exceptional and unique. I really enjoyed listening to this book!!

This book starts right after the ending of book one and if you haven't read Original Sin then do that first. This story follows up the story of Larissa and Eleazar but also Larissa's family members facing different problems of their own specially her father Jonas and mother Abeline.

Larissa has run away from everything she ever knew, her parents and siblings, her Amish immortal community and most of all her awful abusive husband which is not her true mate but has made her life completely miserable.

Bishop Eleazar King has received his calling to his true mate Larissa. So he goes looking for her in a journey that will make him realise what is truly feel and care for someone.

The book is full of surprises and very heartbreaking moments. There is a lot going on in this series. I was at the edge of my sit the whole time. I love how the story can connect with different characters without being overwhelming or rush. Again we are left in a cliffhanger and can wait for what's to come next.

I need more!

This is the second book in The Order of Vampires series, an Amish Vampires Romance. The series continues where the first book left off. Therefore, it is recommended to listen to Original Sin before this one. Bishop Eleazar King and Larissa Hostetler's story is emotional, suspenseful, intricate, and entertaining. They are both fantastic and intriguing characters. There is a lot going on in this story: intrigue, family drama, danger, and twists and turns. The cast of supporting characters is impressive, and they have an important part in this story. The world building is imaginative, and original. I enjoyed it. Lucinda Gainey did a nice job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Prodigal Son, the next book in the series, to know what happens next.

What an ending!

This was as good as the first book! Larissa, who fled her abusive husband, works in a club… as a dancer. She fears that Silas may find her so she keeps to herself. The only one who knows where she is is her brother Cain. Until the day the Bishop enters the club…. That story is one I will NOT spoil.

This is a good book. The characters are interesting.. the storylines are good and make you want to know more. I enjoyed the book!
