should have been half as long

half the book was unnecessary lists expounding upon possible examples of what the previous paragraph might have been talking about.

Gimmicky title, boring book

A lot of information about ways people are influenced and marketed to, but not practical information on how to use the information. It also seemed to jump around with no clear sense of direction and if the author had read about the subject, but doesn't fully understand or is not passionate about it. It felt like I was listening to a dictionary discription of types of influence.

Most Useful

It was written in terms that are very easy to understand and is straight to the point. This is one awesome book. It really was a good introduction to those who want to learn about the darker aspects of psychology.Too many people live their life on instinct alone, repeating simple routine and compensating for the lack. It helped me understand my life.

Difficult to ignore the mispronounciation

The information itself is interesting enough. The narrator repeatedly mispronounces Machievellianism in a variety of ways before eventually kind it getting it right, than reverting back to an embarrassingly incorrect version, shortening it from 8 syllables to 6. Given that it is part of the dark triad and thus mentioned a lot, you would think it pretty important to learn the correct pronunciation.
I would recommend reading rather than listening to this book.
