Publisher's Summary

A Great Story!

A wonderful story. All of the characters are very likable, and it is exciting.
However, I did not like the translation: there were too many borrowed English words. (I bought this to practice my German!)
Finally, the reader was so-so. The dragon's voice was just silly (an echo chamber!).
However, I love the story (I have an English copy too), & I would definitely buy it again! Enjoy!

Excellent & Epic Fantasy

Firstly, to comment on the other reviews:

.... yes this is the German language version and should only be purchased by those with sufficient knowledge of this language!

I never read the book from Christoper Paolini or previously heard the English language audiobook version. All I can say is that Andreas Fröhlich’s performance of book 1, so many different characters and voices is tremendous.

Hugely enjoyable stuff!

Andreas Froehlich Makes This book come Alive!

Just a hint, if you're german and you're wondering if you should get the English or the German version of this audiobook..... Get It in German! The English narration is awful. In the German Narration you can imagine each character with their own mind traits story all fantastically brought across by the narrator. In the English narration... everything and everyone sounds the same.

Great story but many happenings

The story is deep, long and intense. Unfortunately written without depth to characters, inisight or controversiality.
Those who liked 'the hobbit' know what to expect from Eragon. Straight forward with many happenings quickly following each other while the boring training, traveling or ageing is shortened down to a few sentences.

Yess! Fantasy Lovers will be obsessed.

Second time listening to it and still love it. Narrator’s voice is so easy to listen to.
