Story
Today we think statistics are the enemy, numbers used to mislead and confuse us. That’s a mistake, Tim Harford says in The Data Detective. We shouldn’t be suspicious of statistics - we need to understand what they mean and how they can improve our lives: they are, at heart, human behavior seen through the prism of numbers and are often “the only way of grasping much of what is going on around us”.

What I Was Looking For
I was looking for a book that would help me think analytically rather than something technical and I found it with this. Keep in mind though, it DOES get technical at times, but the meat and purpose of the book is more about the fundamentals and way of thinking when tackling data. I also loves that it comes with an accompanying PDF. Finally, this audio book is actually an AUDIO book - not just a reading of the written version, so some words are changed to reflect that, including the narration of charts and graphs.
