Publisher's Summary

It's been 21 days since the hundred landed on Earth. They're the only humans to set foot on the planet in centuries...or so they thought. Book two in The 100 series, now a popular show on the CW network.

Facing an unknown enemy, Wells attempts to keep the group together. Clarke strikes out for Mount Weather, in search of other colonists, while Bellamy is determined to rescue his sister, no matter the cost. And back on the ship, Glass faces an unthinkable choice between the love of her life and life itself. In this pulse-pounding sequel to The 100, secrets are revealed, beliefs are challenged, and relationships are tested. And the hundred will struggle to survive the only way they can - together.

Critic Reviews

"Likely to be a hit with readers who want their Pretty Little Liars mixed with Lord of the Flies." (The Bulletin)

"A mash-up of the hit TV reality show Survivor and traditional science fiction...Morgan's weave of pop-culture elements and politics make for a gripping read." (School Library Journal)

"It's easy to be drawn in by the Lord of the Flies-style tension that builds as the teens struggle to set up a new society on a battered Earth, and by the smoldering romances that hang in the balance." (Publishers Weekly)

I am Guilty

While I do like the concept, I find the characters lacking. Their emotions are all over the place and they all share identical love stories, that follow a predictable roller coaster ride. Words like love and hate are thrown from left to right. Which makes it blatantly obvious that this series is intended for an audience younger then I. Yet in the end I'll still continue with the next book. What can I say, it's my guilty pleasure.

I liked it

I think it was interesting. Written for a young crowd, definetly. But I liked some of the stories very much. The narrators did a good job performing. I finnished the book fast, so that must count for something. Not anything like the tv-show though. But I don't think that's a bad thing.

I like the books more than the show now. Loved it!

What made the experience of listening to Day 21 the most enjoyable?

The narrators were great and I love the new character we get introduced to: Sasha. I', not spoiling anything, just saying that my thoughts went back and forth about her mystery.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Day 21?

The characters and the story were great. There's always something going on, and I loved all the points of view!

What about Justin Torres and Phoebe Strole ’s performance did you like?

They were both great! Completely got me sucked into the story and I both their voices fit the characters well.

Hard to get thru

This book really didn’t present much. It felt like it could’ve been added to book one or three. Just nothing to really get excited about.

Short books

The only thing I struggle with is that these books seem to be so short. The whole concept is amazing and entertaining, and I love it, but I find myself getting angry, like I could've listened for a few more hours lol. I like how it isn't exactly like the TV series, #booksarealwaysbetter , but sometimes without watching it, I would find myself struggling to follow along on all the characters/places.
