Not worth it

This book is mostly about the before the event. The MC is a wimpy dude with no survival skills who never seems very good at anything. I guess it’s suppose to show how even this guy and his family could survive but it’s one of the few books you just can’t root for his survival.

Soooo booooooring

I am half way through this book and the most exciting part has been a 5 minute scene where one of the characters is playing a FPS video game! I can't believe I haven't gotten to anything of any substance at all yet. And not only that, I don't feel any attachment to any of the characters. There is just no emotions at all evoked with this book. Well, the first half anyway... I'm throwing in the towel!

Good!!

Loved it. Characters are a little dumb at times but I guess that’s to make things more realistic. Other then that good read ready for book two.
