Story
Wolf-shifter Hugh Lupine simply wants to make it through the month and win the bet he has with his best friend. He's not looking to date anyone, or to solve a murder, but when a breathtaking beauty runs him over (literally), he's left no choice but to take notice of the quirky, sassy newcomer. She'd be perfect if it wasn't for the fact she's the granddaughter of the local supernatural hunter.

Publisher's Summary
Welcome to Everlasting, Maine, where there's no such thing as normal.
Meteorologist Zoe Parker put Everlasting in her rearview mirror as soon as she had her college degree in hand. But when Sapphire, her eccentric great-aunt, takes a tumble down the stairs in her lighthouse home, Zoe returns to the tiny fishing hamlet to look after her. Zoe has barely crossed the county line when strange things start happening with the weather, and she discovers Sapphire's fall was no accident. Someone is searching the lighthouse, but Sapphire has no idea what they're looking for. Determined to ensure her aunt's ongoing safety, Zoe promises to expose the intruders, even though it means staying in Everlasting and confronting the past she thought she's put behind her.
Dane Stanton never expected to see Zoe standing in the middle of her aunt's living room and is even more unprepared for the flood of emotion he experiences when coming face to face with his old flame. Zoe is just as independent and determined as he remembers, and Dane knows she won't rest until Sapphire can return to the lighthouse in peace, so he offers to help her sort things out.
Armed with old legends, Sapphire's ten cats, and a talking ghost, Zoe has to reconcile her feelings for Dane and embrace her destiny before it's too late.

Meh...
I love Jana DeLeon and have read/listened to all of her books (some multiple times). This one just seemed to fall short. There is a main story but no little supporting stories. It is an okay plot, but nothing like her Miss Fortune series. The narrator should have been a female in my opinion since the main character is female. I am giving 3 stars because it is a good book, just nothing I would write home about.

So darn cute!!
I wanted a light, easy audiobook to listen to on a tedious day at work. I thought it would boost my mood, and it did. Such a cute book. A little mystery, a little paranormal. Fun small town setting mostly taking place in a lighthouse. And how nice would it be to have a Cornelius for company. :-) I would describe this as a quick or beach read as it's not a lot of substance, but that is what I wanted and I was happy with it!

DEFINITELY not up to her usual standards
I couldn’t tell how much it was the narrator
and how much it was the plot (VERYpredictable) but this book was not enjoyable. Even the characters were two dimensional, though that could have been in part the narrator. Bottom line, don’t waste your money or your time on this one

Very disappointing
I really like the other books by Dana DeLeon. I’m actually wondering if she really wrote this one. Character development wasn’t very good. Story was choppy, segments which were meant to lead to the conclusion weren’t fleshed out.
The narration was very poor. The story takes place in Maine; but none of the characters were voiced with a Maine accent. There wasn’t any distinction between the characters except for the senior citizen- and that was actually an over characterization to the point of it sounding silly.

Cute. But Fortune is more fun.
I LOVE Jana Deleon's other series(es). I picked this up expecting a fun paranormal cozy. It was definitely cozy. The story was okay, if not some what predictable. But the paranormal aspect was pretty lacking. There was a ghost, but he was a secondary character and I wanted more of him. I may continue on, but I won't be in a big hurry.

I like Jana Deleon’s other books, so I thought I would enjoy this one. The story is okay if predictable. The narration was not appropriate for this book. It sounded more like he was talking to a child. If I pick any more of her books, it will be text only.

Not my favorite, not terrible
Narrator did a good job, but as much as I love Jana Deleon's books this one did nothing for me. I figured out who the criminals where really early into the book. I kept hoping there would be a twist and I'd be wrong, but I wasn't. It's not a terrible read, the characters are pleasant and the town seems like one that could really have a lot of stories grow out of it. There just isn't much to the story as a whole.

Truly dreadful
Inane, unoriginal and very very dull... I genuinely couldn’t finish it and I will normally push through until the end. Honestly it hits a new low, normally Jana’s books are light hearted nonsense and fun this is painful. Don’t bother not one character is likeable.

Good Cozy
I’m a fan of the authors ‘Miss Fortune’ series, so I know that she can tell a story. This is a good story and an original concept you get the desire to learn more about each character - especially Cornelius. I
’m slightly disappointed with having a Male narrator. Not because he did a bad job, on the contrary, but this is a female narrative, it needs a female voice to tell it. Most of the dialogue and thoughts came from a female perspective, so it seems like a logical step to me. However, overall, I am not disappointed with this novel and look forward to the next book in the series, albeit written by a different author.

Disapointed :(
I love most of Jana's books but couldn't really get into this one, most of which I believe was due to the awful narrative.
