Publisher's Summary

I’m the girl who no one wanted. Or the one who got away. Depending on who you ask.

Either way, betrayal and heartache have been my friends for far too long and it’s time for me to start over.

I gave the Harlequin boys a chance to change. A chance to prove that history wasn’t just set to repeat itself. But they failed with spectacular colors.

Maybe it’s time for me to stop running. After all, Sunset Cove has been living under the Harlequins’ thumb for far too long. It’s time to set our demons free and let them burn this place to the ground. Who knows if I’ll survive the fallout?

But I guess I’ll soon find out if dead girls can die twice.

This is an enemies to lovers contemporary series where the girl will end up with multiple love interests and all of the characters are in their late-20s. Trigger warning: This series features gangs, violence, dark romance and jealous/possessive themes.

Good Stuff 📌

I don't have a lot of time to write a thorough review since I'm at work, but I'd like to get something down before moving to the next book.

This was a surprisingly good story. I honestly thought the "dark" was gonna be cheesy, and the male characters would be one-dimensional. Fine, I may Audible-jaded.

Only a couple of small goof ups from the narrators, a well-plotted-out story and characters, a few redundancies, but well worth the credit. Pinned to listen to again to refresh my brain when the next part comes out.

It's so good! I'm addicted to this series

The Harlequin Crew is my new book addiction. I am a big fan of the authors and these narrators.

Wow this plot was fast paced and the spice was kicked up a notch or two.

There is such variety in the narrators' voices that I am never confused who is speaking and I am always entertained.

ugh these cliffhanger endings are so good! on to the next book!

Dynamic

Honestly, they’re so good with the different characters. Even when they switch genders! Really great work guys.

this hurts so good

after the ending of sinners' playground, you can expect dead man's isle to be emotional, and it absolutely is. i wasn't expecting my heart to be torn in two during a re-read, but jake and bridget are back again to rip me apart. their narrations never cease to amaze me. the emotions they project through the characters are on another level. even though i knew what was coming, i was still in shock hearing the ending come to life. i cannot recommend these audiobooks enough.

I love the Harlequin boys

I was so ready for this next installment of the Harlequin Crew. Thank goodness more was explained about Maverick and the falling out with the rest of the boys. My heart is still breaking for him. These two authors really know how to draw you in and connect to all the characters. And you know what else they know how to do?? Leave an impossibly large cliffhanger at the end that causes the largest book hangover ever! The Bordeaux's are two of my favorite narrators so I already knew that I would enjoy listening to their interpretation of the characters.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Well that went a place that I did not expect. This book was absolutely amazing!

I have always loved how these two authors develop their characters and this book has that in spades. There is so much growth from so many of the guys & Rogue herself. Characters I hated in the last book started to redeem themselves in my eyes. One especially as I didn’t expect it at all from this character. Others that I hated got worse... so much worse... I am hoping for a gruesome death.

So much happens in this book & I cannot say enough amazing things about it. My one complaint was the ending, what the heck is with that ending?!?!?!

Bravo ladies! This is another amazing book!

Also, I need to give props to Bridget & Jake Bordeaux for doing such an amazing job on this audiobook! They always do a phenomenal job of bring the characters & story to life.

Dead Girl Walking

I honestly don’t even know what to say after that ending. This book was a roller coaster like all the other books that these sisters write. I’m so happy there was more Maverick content in this book! Who doesn’t love the bad boy?! Oh and the drama with Luther and the animosity between Chase and everyone else. I can’t wait to dip my toes in the sand and dive into Carnival Hill and see what happens to Rogue and the boys after that intense, Negan from The Walking Dead style cliffhanger!

Bridget and Jake are my favorite narrators I’ve come across. I love how they bring these characters to life. I can’t wait to listen to more of their audiobooks! And I can’t wait to hear the rest of the Harlequin Crew series on Audible!

Don’t want this series to end!

I have spent the last wee recommending this series to all my book friends who like spice in their lives!

I have these downloaded on kindle and audible as I like to jump between but I love to listen to any of the twisted sisters books on audible. The narrators keep in interesting and really add to the humour that the sisters create in their books!

I can always tell which of the guys Chapters I’m on by the way Jake portrays them and I love that.

I can’t get enough

of this series. I am sat gobsmacked at the way this book played out just when you think you’ve got it sussed another twist in the plot happens. I love Rogue and her sense of humour I’d say she does it to hide her pain but she was like that before the boys exiled her when she was 16 . I’m off to start book 3 now and hoping book 4 won’t be far from being released.

Another great read from the twisted sisters!!

Again had me hooked. Couldn’t put it down and listened in two days!
Couple of repeated lines in this one but the voice acting is so good, you don’t mind it.

+18 Bully Second-Chance Light Mafia/Gang?

- second-chance, friends turned enemies turned lovers?
- reverse harem
- angsty, high tension
- forced proximity

3/5 🌶

Going well so far but losing steam as I go. The angst and heartbreaky moments are making it hard for me to binge this. I need time to recover.
