Publisher's Summary

How far would you go to protect a dead man?

It’s the year 2000 in Dublin and, following some traumatic events, Detective Bunny McGarry is taking a well-earned break from the force. However, just because you’re not looking for trouble doesn’t mean trouble isn’t looking for you.

Bunny’s former partner died in the line of duty under dubious circumstances, but his murky background has suddenly resurfaced, threatening Bunny’s reputation as well. As if that isn’t enough, a young boy is in danger and a woman from the big fella’s past is trapped in a loveless marriage to a monster. They both need Bunny’s help, but he must get to work fast - it seems someone is trying to frame him for murder....

Dead Man’s Sins is a continuation of McDonnell’s critically acclaimed best-selling Dublin Trilogy and mixes high-octane thrills with a distinctly Irish wit.

A Dublin Carl Hiaasen!!

Great fun if you’re looking for something light and entertaining. American listeners may struggle with the strong Irish accents but if you can understand the dialogue you’ll enjoy these stories about the deeply flawed, but lovable, detective, Bunny McGarry.

Perfect Entertainment

I love these books! This latest does not disappoint in any way.

Interesting plot? Yes
Blistering dialogue? Yes
Magnificent central character? Yes
Wonderful secondary characters? Yes
Brutality, swear words, labradoodles, Karate Kid moves, unexpectedly moving moments? Yes, all that, and the usual superbly done narration from Morgan C Jones.

If you haven’t read/listened to Caimh McDonnell’s novel yet, you really should get a move on, you are missing out.

Brilliant, Just Pure Brilliance

I absolutely love Bunny. The story didn't disappoint. Everything, the humor, the narrator, the story pace, was on point. I can't reccomend Caimh McDonnell's Dublin Trilogy highly enough.

Another hit

Absolutely love Caimh's books. Have listened to them all since first listening to A Man with one of those Faces. Totally entertaining, amusing, great characters and brilliant narration.
Would definitely recommend, only downside with them is there aren't enough...more, more please Caimh

Just Brilliant!! 😂😂😂

Caimh’s choice of narrator was just perfect, however it happened Morgan C Jones is just amazing! I’ve listed to all the audiobooks in the series and they are a complete joy. I have laughed and laughed. I just want everyone to have the Bunny experience. There are some dark themes but there is always a light touch to moderate it.
The comedy circuit lost out when Caimh turned his talent to writing. A real gift.

Brilliant

Like seeing a movie in your head. I did guess very early on who was responsible for the murder but it didn’t matter. The journey for Bunny to get the answers was entertaining and of course the excellent characterisation by Morgan C Jones brings the story to life. Caimh McDonnell needs a few awards for his great writing in my opinion.

Wonderful, anarchic humour

I love this series, and a new book to listen to has made my Christmas. Bunny is the funniest antihero ever, but every character is a gem, every throw away line hilarious, and good always triumphs. More please!
