Publisher's Summary

In Dublin's fair city, where the girls are so pretty, murder occurs at the feet of sweet Molly Malone....

Ferrying tourists around Dublin for the Leprechaun Limo Service makes quite a change after years in the military. Still, Megan Malone is enjoying her life in Ireland. She likes the scenery, the easy pace, the quirky, quick-witted locals. Everything - except having one of her clients drop dead at the statue of fabled fishmonger, Molly Malone.

Most restaurant critics notch up their share of enemies. Elizabeth Darr, however, was a well-loved international star. She and her husband, Simon, had just had dinner when Elizabeth collapsed, and spoiled seafood is the first suspect. The restaurant's owner, worried her business is doomed, begs Megan to look into it. Between her irate boss and a handsome Garda who's both amused and annoyed by her persistence, Megan has her hands full even before she's cajoled into taking care of two adorable Jack Russell puppies (which she is almost definitely not keeping). But if cockles and mussels aren't to blame, can Megan find the real culprit...before another fishy death occurs?

Narration is fabulous

The story was captivating and entertaining. Loved the accurate depiction of Ireland. The best part was the silky narration.

Good plot idea, abrupt ending, wrong narrator

The plot layout was good. But the simplistic way it unfolded and the abruptness of the ending all so coincidently discovered… Didn’t do the complexities the justice they deserved.

The narrator was not appropriate to a mystery novel but possibly better for some sort of romance. Her dropping tone at the end of most of her sentences was too sultry and not fitting to the main characters.

Such drawn out sentence endinnggss....

Contains spoilers. Story is passable cozy and I appreciated the Irish setting. However I almost DNFed because the narrator voice was so disconsonant to the story to my ear. Haughty, and drawn-out pronunciations... was there a minimum time you had to reach for this to be published? Also, 1st victims' parents were annoying. Get past that to hear the unexpected and interesting ending.

Disappointing narrator

When I want to listen to an Irish murder mystery I want to listen to the Irish accent. The narrator is British and the main character American. What a disappointment. To make matters worse, the narrator was terrible and put me to sleep every time. The story was just ok which is why I didn’t give it 1 star. But you don’t end up really caring who did it. What a snooze fest.

Waste of a credit for me

So slow.. and nothing is happening in the story…… Why is the narration in an Irish accent if the main character is from Texas?

I really wanted to like this series. Unhappy that I can’t return it. This book is just annoying me. Not my cup of tea.
