Disappointing

I think that the story would have been better if there were a different narrator. All I could hear was children playing in the background, outside noise and the turning off and on. Hard to enjoy when those things are going on. I would like to finish the book but I’ve lost interest, the speaker makes all voices the same. I love shifter romance but I’m disappointed.

Mysticism!

This mystifying Dark Secrets 8 book bundle tells a great story and kept me all night and yet, I didn’t really mind. Alice Jamison is one great writer that I’m eager to purchase her other audio books. It is through this book that the author has proven herself that she masters the secrets in attracting her readers and keeping their attention.

Terrible narration

Very bad quality recording. Background noise (screaming children, moving and general background noise). Repeating the same sentences. Obvious volume changes. You can hear when she stops and starts with a new recording. The production is just so bad. I’m not even going to talk about the way she reads. All I can say, it sounds like a high school child being forced to read a book for a grade. The story was good. The narration terrible. If I could give a 0 star I would.

Worth the credit!

I have to admit, I love this book in print, but I haven't liked the other audiobooks I've tried. I heard that this series was being released on audiobook, so I thought, okay, try again. I was *very* pleasantly surprised. I liked it now!

Meh

I like the story, but the monotone voice of the narrator is almost unbearable. Also the short books that just end all of a sudden… thank goodness it was a bundle or I would have been angry! But the story is good if you can handle the voice.

great series

love it,
great storyline and great characters.
but the narrator was bad, I heard back ground noises,
low voices, doors opening and closing, a lot of different noises, the pitch of the narrator voice would change maybe it was the recording of the books but it was still distracting from the storyline.

Monotone Voice

Narrator has a flat monotone voice even in the action scenes. Really took away from the story. I couldn't finish.

Liked the books but not the narrating

The books were entertaining. I wish a British narrator was used for Charles. The voice was too flat.

Monotone narration spoils the story

I think I would like to read this book but the narration was awful. It was completely monotone which I found irritating to the point I could no longer listen. Disappointed.

disappointing

loved the story , at times a bit rushed and predictable but it was entertaining. absolutely hated the narrator! it was out of sheer determination that I persevere with the whole thing .she was painful to listen to , the monótono voice , the lack of emotion and often mistakes when reading made it impossible to really enjoy it. what a shame because the actual story line was good .
