Publisher's Summary

Detective Hannah Shor is desperate to prove her worth to her superiors - and herself. When a middle-aged man is found stabbed to death in his apartment, she might just get her chance. But then she finds that the deceased was a vile Internet troll, sexually harassing women on Twitter. Hannah starts wondering if she really wants to catch his killer.

And the night is far from over. Only several hours later, a young woman is strangled to death. Detective Jacob Cooper discovers that the victim was lost in her own virtual world - a recluse who spent all day sucked into a violent online role-playing game. To find the murderer, Jacob might have to step into the game.

Now Hannah will have to push aside her qualms, and Jacob will have to find a way to overcome his technophobia if they want to crack the cases. Their search will take them into the seedier parts of the Internet and uncover shocking secrets as they attempt to expose a killer.

Brilliant as Always!

Mike Omer has become my favourite crime fiction writer. And Eric Martin is a perfect narrator. This book - and the entire Glenmore Park series - are well worth your time and money!

Felt like there was no purpose

This book felt like a “filler” between the first and third books. I don’t really know why, but I kind of hated this book for not being as involved or mysterious as the other two. The narrator is great though!

Rambling and pointless.

I am a big Mike Omer fan but this was a dud. Rambling irrelevant videp gaming information just to fill pages.

Pretty good!

Not Omers best, but I did really enjoy it. There were alittle more characters that got confusing at times, but still good and looking forward to book3.

Excellent Police Procedural novel

Ooooohhh I love me some detective crime mystery murder intrigue! I discovered this guy many years ago and thought to see what he has written since his first (fabulous) Zoe Bentley novel and wow! I found 5 novels and one novella. I have been tearing through these the past 2 weeks with joyful abandon. This Glenmore Park series deals a lot with the local police force's personalities (the series is considered to be in the police procedural mystery genre) but Zoe of course makes an appearance to help them profile the killer. This second book is about a detective who kind of messes up in the first novel, so she is struggling to earn back credibility and achieve something to cap her personal shame. The murder to be solved involves a lot of suspects as the victim turns out to be some misogynistic internet troll whom the detectives admit is better off dead. The twist at the end is well executed. Recommend to murder mystery fans!

It was Ok

I more or less kept listening just to get to the end. I kept waiting for the surprise twist but...

Not exciting

I finished it but it was a struggle. Not a very exciting murder story. Would not recommend.

Omer Rocks

Omer is one of my favorite authors. But this time the story just wasn't as good as usual. Disappointed that Zowy Bentley and her partner were not in this one. still a good read. Went very quickly
the narrator was excellent

Good not great

This was a decent bridge book. Not overly gripping or anything but not bad either. The narrator is good, love his voice which makes a huge difference in listening to a book for me.

Interesting mysteries

The mysteries here are decent but kind of lacking when compared to the other two in the series. Still Omer is an excellent writer and the narration is top notch.

Incredibly dull

I bought this book thinking there would be a story line. There didn't seem to be, just a few mismatched anecdotes read well by a narrator.
Sorry to be harsh, but a definite thumbs down in my opinion.
