By the time Walter’s promoted to detective, his fascination with the missing, gray-eyed woman is approaching obsession. Disappointed

This is the very first James Patterson book ever that I did not want to finish.

Enjoyable

A different kind of thriller but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment of this novel!!! Just added to it

Interesting First Half; Preposterous Second Half

Excellent narration by Ryan Vincent Anderson. The story is preposterous, however. The farther into the book I went, the less believable the story became, until at the end it was just stupid. But if you like far-fetched paranormal tales, this might be for you.

Bad language

The foul language is unbearable to listen to. I tried to listen to it 3 different times but it is quite a disappointment!

Literally unbelievable.

Surprise to see Mr Patterson writing what amounts to science fiction. Definitely not my taste and way too much detail.

Decent enough for a summer poolside book

What can you say about this one? You won’t get emotionally attached. You won’t discover anything about yourself. Whatever mind-blowing twist everyone else talks about in this is not really anything that changes the direction of the story. It’s an interesting “branch” off the story, but my mouth didn’t drop or anything.

It’s a decent story. It’s definitely nowhere near being a bad book. It’s just equally nowhere near being a great book.

I’ll say this, though: The narrator was quite good. He was the biggest redeeming quality. Quite pleasant to listen to. I’ll be finding more books he narrated.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

This is the worst novel! I Didn't realize it was going to be a sci-fi. I feel very deceived, this is not a thriller, it's a paranormal story. The story is hard to follow. I listen to audio books daily for driving. Scenes and years jumped constantly without a good flow.

If you enjoy James Patterson books, then don't get this one. Just horrible, horrible...horrible...horrible!

Narrator is so mono. and didn’t contribute anything.

Narrator was good but wasn’t looking for a Sci-fi

This was supposed to be a mystery thriller but as it progressed it became clear it was sci-fi. I tried to continue listening until it became clear that this story could not turn back around without that sci-fi twist so I had to return so 😠
If you like sci-fi it’s fine for you
