After decades of research, world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck discovered a simple but groundbreaking idea: the power of mindset. In this brilliant book, she describes how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. She introduces a phenomenon she calls false growth mindset and guides people toward adopting a deeper, truer growth mindset.

Story
According to the psychologists who have carried out extensive research in this area, overthinking is 'thinking too much, unnecessarily, and in a passive way, and constantly considering the meanings, causes, and consequences of your character, your feelings, especially your problems". Ultimately, the overthrow of the predictions of inevitable failures and dire consequences can undermine the hope necessary to work hard, talk, and stretch to achieve good things. The best way to overcome this is to thoroughly listen to this guide. Give yourself the chance to think creatively.

One afternoon - after another failed attempt to get motivated to exercise - I (accidentally) started my first mini habit. I initially committed to do one push-up, and it turned into a full workout. I was shocked. This "stupid idea" wasn't supposed to work. I was shocked again when my success with this strategy continued for months (and to this day). I had to consider that maybe I wasn't the problem in those 10 years of mediocre results. Maybe it was my prior strategies that were ineffective, despite being oft-repeated as "the way to change" in countless books.

Publisher's Summary
Feel overwhelmed by your thoughts? Struggling with anxiety about your daily tasks? Or do you want to stop worrying about life? The truth is we all experience the occasional negative thought. But if you always feel overwhelmed, then you need to closely examine how these thoughts are negatively impacting your lifestyle.
The solution is to practice specific mindfulness techniques that create more "space" in your mind to enjoy inner peace and happiness. With these habits, you'll have the clarity to prioritize what's most important in your life, what no longer serves your goals, and how you want to live on a daily basis. And that's what you'll learn in declutter your mind.
The goal of this book is simple: We will teach you the habits, actions, and mindsets to clean up the mental clutter that's holding you back from living a meaningful life.
You will learn:
- Four causes of mental clutter
- How to reframe all your negative thoughts
- Four strategies to improve (or eliminate) bad relationships
- The importance of decluttering the distractions that cause anxiety
- A simple strategy to discover what's important to you
- 400 words that help identify your values
- The benefit of meditation and focused deep breathing (and how to do both)
- How to create goals that connect to your passions
Declutter Your Mind is full of exercises that will have an immediate, positive impact on your mindset. Instead of just telling you to do something, we provide practical, science-backed actions that can create real and lasting change if practiced regularly.

Unoriginal and impractical!
The book is filled with cliches that offer very little practical application. It is littered with endless bullet points, many of which have sub-bullets. The authors try to offer advice on decluttering your life; instead they have created long laundry lists of junk tasks to keep up. The book accomplishes the opposite of what the title suggests!

My mind is now cluttered
I was looking forward to listening to this book but to me, it misses the mark. The theory behind the values, goals, etc., is sound and evidence-based, however, I felt overwhelmed by the number of checklists and reviews that the authors recommend to declutter your mind. I think I need to read this book rather than listen to it to fully absorb the process and work out if and how I can apply the skills and processes.
