Publisher's Summary

Half merchant. Half noble. Wholly aggrieved.

Lyndal Suttone is done watching the merchants suffer. So when an opportunity to help them presents itself, she grabs hold of it with both hands. Now she must leave her family behind and step into a world she has no idea how to navigate. With her eyes fixed firmly on the prize, she is going to need someone to watch her back.

Astin Fletcher has resigned himself to a life he was never supposed to live. His only purpose is to keep the king alive, a job that is becoming increasingly hard. The merchants are rising, and so is Astin’s pulse whenever Lyndal walks in the room. The middle Suttone sister has entered his territory, turning his purpose on its head. She has no idea what she is stepping into, and now it falls on him to safeguard her.

This is book two in the medieval dystopian series Kingdom of Walls. If you love angst, action, and sharp dialogue, then this high-emotion romance is for you.

Out of order

Good book, but the chapters are out of order. It went from chapter 28 to 30 to 29 to 31 to 33 to 32. I was wondering why the story was jumping so much.

Chapter mixup!

If you’re here, you already love the Sutton sisters and are eager to hear about Lyndal’s story.

Heads up, chapters 29 and 30 are out of order (at least in my download). I got a little confused when listening.

So Romantic - Astin's longing for Lyndal

if you want to know what longing sounds like listen teased out so well by narrator Timothy Campbell. Perfect Enemies to Lovers angst with the action and pressure of " Duty first" decisions that Lyndal takes to save and protect Merchants and Astin for the Ruling family. The book is also thoughtprovoking, exposes & reminds, how the powerful with ease can easily push their wants in manipulation of the beautiful innocent big hearted half noble but poor (Lyndal). Lyndal might be breathy innocent, but shes got game shes far tougher inside. Astin holy F$%# is soooo amazeballs hot, hes so measured and controlled and Lyndal is his unravelling. Her sisterhood Eda and Blake are just best protectors of each other throughout the series. Plus if you love cute animals being woven in... then please get on board and be enchanted!
